Haha sorry no rush. Apologies for any grammatical errors/typos - was typed out quite quickly on my phone and back from a pre-season football training session so too knackered to proof read.

You type on a phone?

Forty words a minute on a physical keyboard me, but a snail on anything else.

Not always, but weary 34 year old legs are up on the sofa and my laptop is upstairs.

I get it, I finished the patio the other day and I was sweating more than a fat girl next to the biscuit tin.

Did you have to get your wife to lift those slabs for you?

Nice try I certainly don’t believe it was to undermine the government at all - the government have done a good enough job of undermining themselves with their stance on the issue.

I believe it’s an anti-racist gesture to support their team mates who suffer racist abuse and are using their global platform to make a stand on it. I think they knew it would cause a stir and make people uncomfortable, so political in that sense, but these boys seem to be comfortable of taking on the mantle of role models to kids all over the globe and won’t just ‘stick to football’.

You inadvertantly admitted what has been clear all along. The footballers themselves might have good intentions but they are being used for a more cynical purpose.

PJW has just posted a video on the tweet racism events and if he's accurate then there should be a lot of apologies issued by social commentators in this country....and I agree with him on just about all the other stuff.

It's quite outrageous if the central claims are true.

Sadly, it's all true.

When will people wake up to this scam? When will footballers wake up to it?

I mean this is a huge topic that could go on and I think we’re probably actually fairly aligned for once on a lot of it. I’m just as passionate about lifting the white working class up as any other held back demographic. A lot of the black on black crime we see has it’s roots in poverty and falling into gangs to try and make some perceived easy money as well as coming from broken homes.

It's true that poverty is a significant aspect in crime rate. However, when you blame poverty and broken homes for black crime it comes with a type of blindness on statistics. All races suffer poverty and broken homes, however violent crime rates are not the same amongst them....it isn't even close. You, like others, have an unwillingness to recognise that.

I think you’re being quite selective with what you are looking at to being able to declare that ‘whites have it worse’ but the common factor in those held back is that they are poor, stuck in a poverty trap and with very little opportunity, whether they are white, black, Asian or any other background.

What I'm pointing out is that the elites who run the institutions far from being racist against non whites are actually racist against working class whites. Unlike yourself Dan I can point to actual statistics that show they have been treated differently.

Where is the voice for them? Your 'diversity' industry doesn't give a damn about them.

Unfortunately we’re governed by those born into privilege who don’t actually really care about the poor, and for all the talk of ‘levelling’ up it doesn’t actually transpire into action.

While capitalism is the only system which actually works in practice, one of its facets is that for people to get rich it requires people to be poor. The Tories know this and owe their wealth and privilege to it so have no real interest in actually levelling the playing field.

I think we can find a level of agreement here.

It's all very well talking about race....and I believe that debate has been disfigured and lied about for many decades....however, class has always been the protective wall that the elites use...the posh accents may change but the life expectations don't change.

I'm not a believer in radical change because I do believe that objective meritocracy creates a better society and raises all boats. You need the most capable people doing the most important jobs and concepts like 'social justice' interfere with that.

The reality of nature is that two higher IQ people mating produces, on average (not always), high IQ children and the wealthy have a more capable pool from which to choose from. I'm not saying that other factors aren't important because they are but IQ determines life success (and hence society success) more than any other.

If you are going to throw a spanner into that system and change it without meritocracy being maintained then the reality is that the IQ comes down.

What I'm against is corruption holding people back and potential being wasted and class plays its part in that.....how things should be changed though is another story entirely and I don't pretend to know the answers and its not my job to.

What this knee issue has done has really put them on the back foot - they believe these kids kicking a ball of air around in an England shirt are working class idiots who would be working in McDonalds if they weren’t brilliant at football. They didn’t calculate that a lot of that England squad are educated, erudite and street smart young men who also know what it’s like to be poor as well as rich, so are far more in touch with the working class and how much of a struggle life is for millions. They have won over the public’s hearts this summer and the Tories have been caught massively on the wrong side of the argument and have quickly realised that this week with the attempted back tracking.

Individual footballers may have notable intelligence but as a group there is no requirement for them to be erudite and educated....though determination is obviously a factor is getting them where they are.

The criteria for their success places emphasis upon ability with their feet and not the brain and what a footballer thinks has no intrinsic value other than what their celebrity status gives them.

As for the Tories....you may regard them as conservatives but I'm afraid I don't. The language of the modern Tory party differs very little from Blair, which has been the case since Cameron.

The leader may change but the party remains what its big funders, the city and analysists wish it to be, more so than its grass roots.

I think Johnson's weakness is women and they can rule him.

He is very weak over rubbish ministers generally, probably makes him feel more secure.

I find it amusing that the 'pro diversity' (subtext for less white people) Priti Patel is being used by Labour as the evil racist enabler.

Clown world.

Most of those tweets came from outside Europe.

The media has done nothing but lie and omit since the start.

That's because the money supports a preferred narrative over the actual truth.
