After ballsing up a great opportunity in the last minute against Arsenal Ayews fluffed another one against City.

In games like this we have to take whatever chances we can get and he needs about 5 great ones to score. Did the same against Liverpool in the 1st half too.

Just a question why have we only got 7 subs instead of the 9 allowed?

The coach wasn’t big enough.

couldnt agree more. His first touch is sub standard for a 'pro' footballer

While it is very negative football we have limited them to very little. Remember when we played Liverpool and were a bit more open? Or against Villa? Let's face it, this is exactly how we played when we got results in the last two visits to the Etihad. We trail at half-time due to the genius of de Bruyne. Personally I'd bring Tekkers on as at least he wins the ball when we go long and carries an aerial threat. Maybe bring Andros off and put Ayew wide. If we can somehow hang in there we might get a lucky break like a penalty or a setpiece goal. If we open up at all they'll smash us though.

Nobody is asking to go all out attack against city.

If you've watched other teams play city this season, nobody goes 2 banks of 4 and defends flat out for 90 minutes. This is dire football and we arent even trying to play.

Even our clearances aren't leading to counter attacks - which is prob our best chance to score. We literally boot it back up to their defence and let them come back again.

This method has got us a win and a draw on last 2 visits to City. Why wouldnt you play the same again? The difference is, no Zaha for the out ball.

Roy is playing a 4 5 1 formation which means we are on a wing and a prayer against City Knowing our manager’s negative mind set he will be singing our praises if we come away with a 2- 0 Zaha has his detractors but we are clearly a bottom 6 side without him

Listening to this on BBC radio and the Mancunians are very biased. Decent half for us and I can't see the 3-0 that Lawro forecast but early days. Keep pushing keep attacking there is a chance for us.

I presume you're saying that ironically.

Damage limitation, what with the thrashing by Liverpool fresh in the memory.
What a pity we don't have an Ambrose type player, someone who can have a crack from distance.

Disappointing goal to concede.
Mitchell and I believe McArthur advance towards De Bruyne, the cross not stopped and Stones heads in between Cahill and Tomkins who were around him.

Just one-way traffic as expected and a darned hard watch as expected.
