For me, it's more a case of who I DON'T want to see playing on Saturday.

I shall feel reasonably happy if the following DON'T start
- Luka
- Benteke
- Townsend
and because he needs a rest but should be on the bench so he can come on in the last 20 - McArthur.

Is the right answer!

Butland

Clyne-Tomkins-Cahill-PVA (quicker to deal with Traore)
McCarthy-Riederwald

Ayew-Eze-Wilf

Batshuayi (usually prefer CB, but hopefully scoring against WH will give bats some confidence.)

The team you're suggesting is very close to the one that got battered by W.Ham (9 out of 11!).

It sure is but completely different formation. Take out Townsend and you could argue that all all our best available players started against West Ham, but in the wrong formation. I don’t blame Roy for our weak squad but he is at fault for playing them in the wrong formation.

VG
Clyne Kouyate Cahill Mitchell
MacArthur McCarthy Riedewald
Eze Bats Wilf

Tomkins over Cahill if fit but a fractured eye socket think that's unlikely.

Would have preferred reverting to 4-3-3 some time back but mindful that Zaha has cut a less frustrated figure since being given more freedom and goals.

we will need a player up front and in defence that can head a ball , therefor we must play Benteke

I did think that as I was typing, that the team looked lacking in height, but I'm sick to death of watching the fraud Benteke.

You want to stick with the same team that just lost abjectly, and you advocate simply playing experience. We've been doing that all season. Enjoying it? I hardly need to say the old adage about trying exactly the same thing over and over again. And yes, I would play a 16 year old if he was good enough. However, obviously not my place to say - merely adding to the debate. Not sure what your problem is but carry on! You basically sound like a press conference with Roy.

Not once have I said that we should stick with the same team.

Not your place to say if a 16 year old is good enough, and yet you '' guaranteed '' he can pass better than our existing midfield...just one small problem - you haven't seen him play.

If i do have a problem it's when I read people that - in my humble opinion - are spouting bollix.

I suspect many on HOL have formed this conclusion about my contributions to the debate !

Apropos Wolves they always used to play with a back 3 and 2 wing-backs but in more recent matches they have fielded a back 4.Last night against Chelsea they fielded a '3' and it remains to be seen what formation they deploy on Saturday.

We however will stick rigidly to our 442 and Wolves will know exactly what to expect and exactly how to beat us as they always seem to. An easy 3 points for them as we slide slowly down the table.

Certainly not by 'Yours truly'.
Your posts never flout every convention of decency and restraint and I for one have enjoyed reading your words of wisdom.
