There is only 16 games left for Sheffield United and West Brom!!! Fulham have lost tonight so have 17 games left. So then on top of that us, Leeds and Southampton only pick up another say 4 points from 16 games!!! While one of the bottom 3 gets 20 points from 16 games!!! It is a quite incredible turn of events!!! Seriously take a chill pill, the bottom 3 are going down

3 wins / 9 points will do
(more or less..)

I’d imagine even if we did get only 3 wins, a few draws would be in there too.

I’m certainly more optimistic of our prospects after the last two games, we’ve always flirted with relegation but seem to have a few games in each season which seem to be critical, last season it was the few 1-0s on the bounce and hopefully these next four plus the last two will see us pick up a good few points to steer us well clear

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

If you weren’t a Palace fan you wouldn’t even consider us as a relegation threat. Guys, we are safe as houses.

And let’s not forget Newcastle and Southampton, both falling like a stone.

it's kinda funny, peak season last year, no one would have even imagined shef utd would be bang in trouble. The run they had, so far, whilst isn't too much of a shock that they would struggle, it was unexpected for them to be bottom.

This is always my fear, that we just go on a bad run... regardless of talent intent, luck etc. it happens.

Anyways, it's safe to say we are playing prem footy next year - and on the face of it, that's what pariah wants and roy right now and has been for some time, the cheapest, most..... accepting manager there is. Who else would have come in, accepted the budget restraints we had/have and keep us up without speaking out or ruffling feathers?

This was once a quality forum....

Ruffling feathers is the problem.

Any new manager will demand financial support, while Roy will be his diplomatic self, thus securing a contract extension.

We're safe this season, but next?

Big changes = an exciting future.
Few changes = an exiting future.

or a disastrous one if we choose the wrong manager or a not very different one if the new manager's incoming players (assuming the board put up the money) turn out to be no more than on a par with those who exit the club or are shunted out. I bet Spammers were really excited when Citeh's ex-manger Pellegrini arrived and disappointed when Moysie came back. I know which one I would choose.

Current odds on us being relegated this season average out at 33-1 against. If you seriously think there is any chance of that then put £5 on and earn enough to console yourself with whatever is your favourite drink if the almost impossible happens.

Draw the next 4, loose to Spuds, draw with WBA will leave us safe...in my opinion.
I would happily bet that 34 points would keep us up this year.

That said, I have a terrible betting track record, so would be a small bet.

True.

I've been at Palace games when we have been 4 or 5 goals to the good( not a regular occurrence admittedly)with 15 minutes left and have still been worrying about a comeback from the opposition
