not a great overall performance but a super 3 points. So 3 points from 1 game so far in Feb. A good start. 7 points from the next 4 would now be a decent return

That means we'll lose one of them. Shame on you Zaha could of course be missing for a while and we have a tendency to lose when he is not in the side.

3 wins in our next 6 games should see us safe.

You're probably right, however it's never certain, I can see any 2 of the bottom 3 go on an unlikley storming run excludung WBA. Another 3 wins and I think we're secured. Originally posted by Tom-the-eagle

Yes they could go on an unlikely storming run, but also they all will have to play each other as well. Two teams cannot win the same match!!!!! So yes 32 points is probably the maximum any of the bottom 3 could reach, and that would still be champions league form!!!!

Unbelievably, it seems like Sheffield Utd might be the one team in the bottom three who might somehow struggle out. Since their woeful display against us they have won three games and suddenly have renewed confidence and belief. The Sheff Utd's board's decision not to provide funds for January may suddenly seem short-sighted after last night's result. As regards to us, I agree that 32 points will probably be enough this year, but 35 at most. Like last season I find myself sitting here wondering how we have so many points without ever really playing that well. This has been Roy's MO since he has been her though, make sure you don't lose to the team's below you. Leeds are always hard to read going from the sublime to the ridiculous, often in the same game. If we could beat either Leeds or Burnley then that would put us in a really comfortable position heading to Brighton (who hopefully will have been dragged into a relegation scrap again by then!) who we will then hopefully take apart with ruthlessness
