Delighted with the win against a poor Wolves team. Nothing to do with the change in formation, that nullified Wolves then!

any manager out of work or thinking of a change, watching that second half display should be really optimistic and licking their lips.
This was once a quality forum.... |

PVA still worries me. Especially after Traore came on second half. PVA seemed clueless time and again as Traore skipped passed him for fun. After being nutmegged, PVA sat so far off that Traore said "thanks" and just had a free cross. I think Van Aanholt is still in the Arthur Wait eating that hot dog but apart from the one incident he didn't do too badly against him.

It was good to see us playing with marginally more confidence than in recent games, but I'm glad Traore and Silva didn't play for 90 minutes. Guiata would have had a lot more work. Ayew helped us at both ends of the pitch, and Riedewald's awareness and passing shore up the entire center of the field. Without Ray, Roy looked even more tired than usual. Hope he'll show a little happy energy in the presser.

Personally I agreed with all the changes to the starting 11 Roy made today apart from at Left Back. Traore has made mincemeat of both our left backs in the recent past, but of the two I know which one has demonstrated the potential to improve. Still, perhaps Roy wanted to send a shockwave through the squad after West Ham by making as many changes as he sensibly could. In that context it won't do Mitchell any harm to have a kick up the arse as part of his growth.

He did the right thing by trying to show him inside but traore can turn any left back with his power and pace. If he was on from the start we may have lost but for some reason wolves dont fancy him for 90 mins! Strange really as hes a match winner.

Thank god for that! I have been critical of Dann recently- but I thought he was a reassuring presence today. COYP!
