I think any kind of positive result will be a really good one. Newcastle looked good against Everton and have most of their players back from injury. Our squad is going the other way with several new injuries.

Newcastle will go into the match with more confidence than us.
2-0 Newcastle.

A low scoring draw all day long with 2 evenly matched teams in terms of personnel. A tricky possible match winning winger, tidy keepers, a few donkeys up front with Wilson possibly shading it for them. Throw in the new striker and he might shade it for us. 0-0 or 1-1.

The only confident prediction I have is that it will be another low scoring game - which is a pretty safe guess for Palace matches.

If he fields a similar progressive line up as against Wolves but with Reidewald starting in place of the accident prone and hapless donkey Kouyate with PVA in midfield I would feel fairly optimistic.

Clyne was in Cascarino's Team of the Week in the Times and is looking like a wise addition.

I am apprehensive that if our new forward gets a game he will quickly discover why we score so few goals - we don't have a skilful or productive midfield.

Newcastle are normally a nighmare for us to play against because they are one of the most negative sides in the division and we struggle to break teams down. I am hoping that with their win against everton that Bruce will go for gold against us and with their average defence we will pick them off.

3-1 to Palace for me.

Alright lads, been a while.

That game against Everton was anomalous as much of the season we've been passive, porous and poison for the eyes. At Goodison we were more aggressive, positive and dynamic than we have been all season. Best performance so far.

Like you, we've a few injuries; Lascelles, Fernandez, Dummet. Fraser and ASM still don't have a full 90 in them. Willock won't be available yet.

If we play as well as we did against Everton I'd be confident of getting another win. But, what's more likely, is Bruce will switch formation, personnel and system again and we'll get an undeserved point, or a deserved loss.

You are one of the only teams who have possibly played even worse football than us this season. Strangely, I think if you're more positive you might lose as we only look threatening when teams leave space behind, whereas if you play anti-football like you normally do it'll be a battle to see who gets the lucky win! I think both sets of fans are in need of some exciting football, but you had yours at the weekend, so it's our turn

I think we've created enough opportunities in the past to be at least on a par with Southampton, then again they'd all say the same towards Everton ..how they didn't score against Villa I'll never know.

The weather in Newcastle tonight is foul it’s been snow sleet and wind all day. Not a night for the faint hearted.

lol, against West Ham I watched us playing some lovely stuff and then Zaha's goal ..and then it continued with us on top so I decided to quickly make a cup of tea to enjoy the moment with, I returned within two minutes to the score being 1-1 WTF with us still on the ball attacking as I'd left two minutes earlier! ..I wasn't allowed one sip of enjoyment.

Just watching Roy's presser from yesterday. Which players are out of the reckoning because they were injured on Saturday? Anyone know?

I hope to see Jordan Ayew start tonight in place of Andres - I will actually be fast asleep - he seemed to offer far more on the left than Andros has of late. Not his best position, but he seems to give more than others no matter what position Roy puts him in.

If Bats has to play then a front two of Wilf and Bats with JA and EE as wide players worked well in a poor game last time out.

I will fall asleep well in advance of the game and forget to check the scores until 4pm AEST tomorrow. Somehow I believe I will feel better than you will regardless of the score. Sweet dreams Baldo.
