Listen to the intelligence of the man, very impressive, he can see what it takes to be positive and tactical. He knows what its takes!! Then listen to Roy... Ernie, is worth a punt or do we already have a pre-deal? Forget other choices of possible managers. Ernie or Roy?

I specifically watched MOTD2 to find out what Eddie's been up to and doing with his time away from management. Although the football has been dire of late, I think both Roy and Palace have gotten what either side needed from the relationship;Roy has his redemption in reputation from the disgrace that was England's exit from Euro 2016, and Palace after trying something "new" with FDB, ensured safety and stability of Premier league status up until now. The club is moving to a stage of rebuild in the summer 2021 and it would need a 3-5yr manager at the helm to implement a strategy for this with progressive ideas, and not one who's on a rolling year contract with what appears to be lack of tactical thought of play in team set-up and in game management. Therefore I think it's in everyone's best interests if Roy sees out this remaining season which by all accounts should see with a good degree of certainty, the continuance of Palace's premier league status, and go out into the sunset with fond memories of our time together.

I want Eddie - definitely not Ernie - although the females that come with Ernie might be easier on the eye!

I think the idea of Eddie Howe is better than the reality of Eddie Howe. In reality when he has moved away from his comfort zone at Bournemouth he has struggled (Think he had an ill-fated and short spell at Burnley) and when things we're going against him at Bournemouth he was unable to stop the slide, he seemed bereft of ideas on how to do it. Managers, like players have periods of ascendancy, when Roy goes it will be a case of who is the in form manager we can get at the time. Just because he is young, English and plays `good football` doesn't automatically mean he would be a good manager for us.

I’m not sure about Eddie Howe or Ernie Howe for that matter, spent fortunes at Bournemouth and when they went on the slide they really went on the slide. He lost the dressing room and the spat with Fraser sticks in my mind as they needed a result and this player refused to play. It’s all coming back to me now, Thanks but no thanks....

Howe has this boyish look like OGS at Old Trafford, but not sure if he is the person to take over from Roy.

If you think Roy looks like he's floundering and not sure what to do next, you will have seen that behaviour before. On the touchline and post match interviews with Eddie Howe at the end of last season. Howe has had a refreshing break from the game and then comes across well in the non-pressurised environment of a pundit. Not that difficult.
