God-botherer of colour and gay activist, Jarel Robinson-Brown, tweeted that "The cult of Captain Tom is a cult of White British Nationalism.” The Rev. has also said that the Honour's system that knighted Tom Moore is "deeply married to white supremacy". He also described fellow churchmen who did not necessarily agree with his views on LGBT rights in the C of E as "ignorant white Christian men". Boris Johnson was also described by him as an "oppressor".
Jarel would make a fine choice as driver of the clown-car that what masquerade as the left these days has become.

Won't be long before he's Archbishop of Canterbury.

Reading reports this evening that Captain Tom caught Covid in hospital whilst receiving treatment for other illnesses.

A cruel twist if ever there was one.

A ludicrous twist I say. People with cancer are staying away from hospital because they are afraid to go there and who can blame them when you hear of patients going in with minor ailments and then catching covid and dying.

There should be covid hospitals and non covid hospitals and they MUST keep covid out of the hospitals where people are being treated for other problems.

This was in the news a couple of days back. He had pneumonia. It appeared possibly as a result of his trip to Barbados. Then caught COVID in hospital. Not sure what killed him.

The trouble is you get asymptomatic cases, and also people can test negative one day, positive the next. So it's hard to keep it out during a pandemic.

I am slightly perplexed that he hadn't been vaccinated but the whole thing appeared to fall at the exact wrong moment in time. That's true of so many right now.

He couldn’t get the vaccine because he was being treated for the pneumonia. It would have been a PR coup to let him get the first dose.

Yes I heard that too, but I think it's a shame they didn't give it to him anyway. But then again when we factor in when they started vaccinating, and it being three weeks before it kicks in maybe it would've been the same outcome. Maybe the pneumonia alone would've done him in, but when I heard he's got covid on top I feared the worst. poor bloke.

He was an old old man and did a lot more than any of us ever will. I'm sure he would have been very content with 100 years on the planet.
We've all got it coming kid. 'Unforgiven'
Rest in peace.

Trying that out this a-way. Weston Super Mare is now exclusively Covid.

Truth be told it was always a terrible hospital and local folk do all they can to get treated in Bristol. However, if they are only doing one thing, let's hope they do it well.
