And how many games have we won without him? Why do we value him at 88M?Why did we not agree to his transfer request? If he is that over valued? For a while now Wilf has been the soul of the club. All Lives Matter.

Still the most exciting player in the Premier League as he has been for many years.

He's a drama king, but he's OUR drama king.

I only wish he would:

1) realize that complaining about uncalled fouls makes him a boy-who-cried-wolf in the eyes of referees,
2) understand that usually when his teammates' passes don't reach him, it's because of their lack of skill rather than character flaws or lack of effort or vision
3) stop committing make-up fouls when he is angry at an opponent for a foul that should have been called

I believe he is worth 2-3 times more to Palace than he is to any of the top 6 clubs. I hope he will stay at Palace for the rest of his career.

100% agree with #1, #2, and #3. Wilf is awesome, and he would get better treatment from the refs if he could keep his emotions in check.

It's like the older he gets the more immature he becomes.

Sad but true, and it's preventing him becoming our, or anyone else's greatest.

Immature why? Because he got injured and was devastated that he had to come off?

He should have been given a peno against Wolves and he was fouled at least 4 times yesterday that any other player in the league would have got fouls 4. Ayew throws himself on the ground and get fouls every single time. Refs have it in forWilf and that’s a fact.

But we do not know how much verbals he gets, I know some will say he should rise above it but if you have had 7 bells kicked out of you every time you
gets the ball, who can blame him?
Overrated!, Unbelievable comment, personally I would take the views of people like Souness ( who rates him very highly) over anyone on here

Totally overrated. Only managed one goal every other game this year for a team that's never won without him. s***. Give him away.

Sigh

would've got a goal last night too if Bats could manage to stay onside for once!

We are a better team with him in it and yes he has been more effective this season than last but it was going to be difficult for him to be any less effective than last season. He has lost his blistering pace and doesn’t take players on like he used to. Yes he is fouled a lot but then so are other players like Mane & Messi and they just get on with it without all the histrionics. His tantrums are embarrassing and his moaning and petulance do him no favours at all. As someone else mentioned in the Newcastle match thread last night, there is also his open displays of frustration and annoyance of playing alongside certain players of our own such as Batshuayi.

He is past his best but he is still a good player and worth keeping for now, as no one in their right mind are going to pay anything decent for him. He is also one of the very few players we have who can be, at times, exciting to watch. He would just do himself a massive favour if he could sort his moaning and his attitude out.

Our stars without him are atrocious though. How do we explain that?

Because our stars are out of alignment ?

He certainly appears to be far more petulant these days, as much as he tries to fob it off with its just 'passion'. I think its a culmination of things, he can possibly see that hes missed the boat to move to another club, win things in the game and also as much as the Roy brigade may dislike it he is probably not too enamoured with the tactics of the team. And of course the fact he has chronic back pain, carrying the team every week/season. He also gets very frustrated with his team mates, even more so now. If he was in a better team, with players that could actually pass him the ball in open space he would fly.

The other thing about Wilf is we do not see Wilf in full flow anymore, no more taking on his man at pace. He slows his man down now and gets caught far more than he used too. However his 9 goals in what is it 18/19 games cannot be sniffed at. Thats an excellent return in this side.

I'm actually writing an article arguing why we should sell him. I'll post it here later for everyone to disagree with.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...
