I think Roy is doing a good job, i know it can be frustrating to watch at times but I honestly believe he knows his time is up and will retire at the end of the season. What are you thoughts on Chris Wilder stepping in if Sheffield Utd get relegated? I think he will be an excellent candidate, used to working on a tight budget and could be someone who stays for the long run and oversee the rebuild ?

Wilder wouldn't put up with our control freak chairman's nonsense for 5 minutes.

Someone is going to have to put up with our control freak when Roy retires probably ,at the end of the season.

This is a very likely scenario.
He is Sheff Utd through and through, he loves the club and he has got them promoted into the Championship and then to the PL.

I guess he already gets a state pension and bus pass. All he's missing is the Palace fake gold carriage clock.

Loyalty counts for very little these days.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Given Wilder's promotions, Sheff Utd might believe he is just the chap to get them promoted back to the PL given that he has already engineered a promotion to this hallowed destination.

Sean Dyche gained promotion for Burnley to the PL, they were relegated but the club did not rid him of his services and he got promoted back after just a season in the Championship.

Maybe because their clubs see a long term plan and cut their cloth every season trying to buy better players.
I believe Fulham will keep their manager too if they go down.
Strange their are worse teams than Burnley & Sheff Utd, while the points dont lie.. Sheff Utd games are all close.. they could do it and if so who will they catch.. Wouldnt like to be Southampton or Brighton right now! saints are falling...

HOWE, a young out of work manager. Did wonders for Bournemouth. Should be lining him up now ready for next season otherwise the Magpies will have him.
Thanks Roy, you've DONE well!!!
Two great results in 7 days.
