The only certainty is that if the game goes ahead Bamford will score.

Think Leeds presently have more potential in front of goal than Newcastle and they managed 21 shots in the last game. Leeds had 9 at Selhurst. If the game unfolds similarly as last game I think a point would be great.

A very tough game. and we can assume Zaha is still dealing with the hamstring injury. I'd be happy if Croydon-Roy chooses to play boring and grind out a point. Edited by PalazioVecchio (08 Feb 2021 9.19am)

Team selection is crucial tonight. We got away with two old CBs at Newcastle but if Tomkins is fit he must return, ideally next to Kouyate. And this is a Clyne and Mitchell night. But it is further upfield that Roy needs to choose correctly. 433 with Luka, Jairo and Jimmy offering a solid base in the first hour, and Eze and Ayew either side of Benteke. Do it right snd we can grind out a draw with the hope of a bit of magic or a set piece enabling us to nick a win.

Leeds on paper sound insane as they basically chase the ball: it goes upfield everyone runs after it, and then they all try and run back again when they lose it. It's bonkers. They have looked a little less gung-ho in recent games though. Earlier in the season they lost (and got whipped a few times) to nearly all the experienced counter-attacking teams as they were incredibly naïve. If they are more patient against us and just continue to have lots of movement and quick passing then they'll probably win. If they throw nine men forward with every attack we have a chance, albeit much slimmer without Wilf. A big difference this time could be that we're without Wilf but almost as importantly they will have Kalvin Phillips available this time. As individuals many of their team are not that great but Biesla seems to know what he wants from his players and seems capable of getting blood from a stone (Bamford a good example, but also players like Dallas). If Tomkins were to play I'd feel more confident, but I'm not sure if they've put his eye back in yet? Apparently we have had an U23 centre-back training with the first team ahead of the game which suggests more injury problems at the back. I'm sticking with 2-0 to Leeds, but I wouldn't be surprised if it went the other way. I really hope Mateta starts ahead of our limp Belgian waffles.

We all know the cliche that Germans are efficient and the Italians are disorganised. In Europe Belgium's are know as lazy due to the amount of vacation time they have.
