Mitchel had his worst game for us, thought Townsend when he came on was our best, AWB trying to tackle Zaha in training without fouling him made him into what we saw and it was Zaha who informed the club to play him. If running around and achieving absolutely nothing made him the best player on our side then it really doesn’t bode well. Ayew does the same thing and gets slated. I no longer understand the support Townsend gets. He’s gone from being an average/ good player to a poor/average player this season, but we have no wide options hence why he still plays.
