There's been plenty of comments about how we can get rid of Batshuayi and Benteke now we've got Mateta. The problem with just saying, let's get rid of all our players and bring in better ones is that the only thing you can be sure of is that it will be very expensive with no guarantee of success. Wasn't the best performance but he was hung out to dry a bit. Hopefully, he gets some more game time off the bench over our upcoming run. Then we'll see if he can become a premiership striker. Looking forward to seeing him again As I remember there was plenty of caution. I had never even heard of him and wondered whether we would actually ever see him play. Well, I've been proved wrong on that. He has played. Hes probably wondering WTF team has he joined.

I actually thought he looked ok. For a big lad he showed some nice touches and technique. Coming on in a game we had lost control of was not ideal. The whole team was struggling against a high pressing energetic and confident leeds ... so hard to judge him really.

Wasn’t AJ abysmal when he first started for us ... I’m hopeful JP will shine soon.

he seems to have a decent touch, you can not judge him on the leeds game. he is young & raw and can only improve. i would be more than happy to see him, wilf & bats we our main 3 striikers for the start of next season.

However he did seem to lack energy and awareness and did sometime remind me of Benteke in the way that he was watching rather than pressing!
