Let's face it, today's 11 has 5 that should not be here next year:

Who stays:
Guiata
Kouyate
Clyne
Riederwald
Ayew
Eze

Who goes:
Bats (Chelsea will regret loaning him out, his value plummeted)
Benteke (just put us out of our misery)
Dann (love him, but he's past his prime)
Luka (PLEASE, he's been crap for so long, does the occasional nice thing, but today was 50% responsible for the 3rd goal (with PVA) - ball up in air no one around him and headed it straight to a Burnley player's foot in our half to start their attack).
PVA (can't defend and can't be a winger)

Also gone:
Wickham (obvious)
Hennessey (excess with Butland)
Sakho (prefers Abu Dhabi to Selhurst)
Cahill (see Dann above)

Also stays:
Zaha (hopefully)
Townsend (I'm mixed on him, but I think he's a decent backup / bench player)
Butland
Ferguson (if we ever see him)
Ward (will move to CB)
Marteta
Mitchell
Kelly
McArthur
McCarthy

What we need:
CB
LB
CM (badly - JMc2 only have a year left at most)

The good thing is the U23's are doing decent - with a couple out on loan - hopefully we can get some coming up. Also U18s are top of their league and Paddy Mac has them playing brilliantly.

Not much to add other than the obvious Roy needs to go . Rot started 12 months ago , new contracts to garbage players , zero ambition. Rotten from the top down.

My choice of drink tonight maybe we should rename the team

Its good stuff the old brewdog isn't it? I spent my 20's bemoaning the poor quality pisswater on offer across Croydon and South London (Fosters etc), so it's nice to have better options now.

Mind you, I've now started drinking at the start of games rather than the end!

We have a chance if Hodgson has walked or been asked to go and interim managers have taken over. If Hodgson plays the same way against Brighton we are screwed. Alas he will play the same way with a couple of player changes that will make no difference :-(

Opponents have little to worry about when playing us on the pitch apart from when they approach our goal where we always steal the show.

That's too harsh on PVA. I'd like him to stay, he has done a lot of great things for Palace and is one of the best left backs IN THE HISTORY OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE, not just of Palace. And yes, he was absolutely dredful today at all 3 goals, but let's be real, it happens that one can trip and fall and the first one was definitely Dann's ball.

Same for Batshuayi, let's just wait for the entire season. The line is drawn at the end. After his performances, it doesn-t look like he will be a permanent signing, but he has it in him, he has quality. He was good at Chelsea (when he came on), Borussia Dortmund, first spell with Crystal Palace, national team, everywhere. There are plenty matches left. He might score 5-6 more goals (hopefully). Him and Mateta both have time to prove where our money should go in the summer.

Benteke was once really quite good.

TheBigToePunt's post made good reasonable sense, yours is of a fan who's just witnessed his team having their pants pulled down and against a team with no better players then us apart from the Eleven we played today.

Sorry, but you are so entrenched in your views that you cannot see past your nose. We have just been out thought, out played and thoroughly demoralised by a bang average team. But it’s probably the players fault I’m guessing?

Not sure I follow you re PVA. Where would you place him amongst Pearce, Irwin, Cole, Evra, Robertson etc? For me he is more of a novelty than anything. He gets goals from the centre forward position sometimes, which is odd, funny, thrilling and of some value. Against which, he defends like he's on ecstasy.

I make you right about judging players on the whole season, and Batshuyi is only as good as the chances he gets. His play outside the box is awful, but we didn't get him in for that. When he was here before, we were making chances but missing them (I'm looking at YOU Benteke), but now we just aren't making them.

A team who before today were struggling score this season beat us comfortably at HOME. And did the double over us. Just let that sink in!

Yet they remain some distance below us in the table and would gladly swap.

Not saying we shouldn't be utterly furious with today, and with a few other s*** shows this season, but context should not be lost either.

He was ok, never quite good, and it was a really long time ago.

He scored 15 in a season where he was on the pitch more than 3000 minutes and forced even if he was playing bad, 13 from open play and 2 which were penalties.

Decent, not great.

They are 3 points behind us with a game in hand.
