Plenty of other options others have already pointed out some simple ones like Cahill or Kelly why play a CM when you have two CD available madness.

I hope I am wrong and we win even if its an awful 1-0

We're going to get overrun yet again in midfield

Looking at the bench it's tough to see what else Roy can do.

I'd prefer Mitchell to PvA, and whilst I think kouyate would improve our central midfield, I think Roy uses him in defence to add a bit of mobility we wouldn't have otherwise. Introducing Mateta more gradually seems sensible, I'm sure he'll come on at some point.

At the risk of getting shot at, I'd probably go for Townsend ahead of Ayew on the right. Townsend is a very average player overall, but Ayew just doesn't see forward passes or put crosses in. He's a hard working, occasionally skilfull individualistic player, and that doesn't equate to a good supply line for the front two.

Because Kouyaté has been pretty good - it's where he plays for his country.

You really think he's been good at cb? He's been a disaster in that position.

He was poor at Burnley, but overall been pretty good I'd say. Happy for him to be first choice centre back.

He's been pretty poor in defence and in midfield
as have most of the rest. Not creative at all.
We are going to rely a moment of brilliance from Eze if we are going to score.

Might have gone 4231. Clyne, Cahill, Dann and PVA.
Kouyate and Luka as my two holding
Townsend (I know), Eze and Ayew behind Benteke or Mateta.

But then I not 72 with all that experience behind me.

Kouyate has been a big Palace success.

Looks light in midfield though, and Bats and Benteke are duplicating each other.

Still let's see they could gel.

Did we start of against Wolves with a 4-2-3-1 formation?

Whether we did or or not it certainly looked like that to me and I thought we looked much better for it, seemed to have more numbers both going forward and coming back.

I really am not a fan of this 4-4-2, I don’t think it suits our players at all.

Oh well, COYP this is a good a chance for 3pts as any

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
