To be fair to Roy, there weren't many options, but it's baffling that our best player last year, Cahill, was avle to play and sat on the bench for the back 2 to be a defensive midfielder like Kouyate and Scott Dann.

I think anyone would have chosen PVA over Mitchell, but he needs to be dropped for next game. Same for Riedewald.

Up front the 2 Belgians didn't do much, Ayew is not good on the wing, so the best idea would be a Mateta-Ayew partnership down the front line, with Eze and Townsend on the wings until Zaha comes back.

Do we have an 11 for next game?

Butland (cause he needs a chance too)-Clyne, Cahill, Tomkins? (Kelly), Mitchell-Townsend, Kouyate, Milivojevic, Eze- Ayew, Mateta.

Maybe try PVA as a winger further up front.

The way RH is looking on the touch line makes me think he has had enough and may walk. Also he only gives Matete 15 mins.
Not good enough.

We deserve to be relegated this season. It’s as simple as that. I would say it is now about 50/50 whether we end up in the relegation positions.

Someone tell me where our next win is coming from?

Just a reminder, even after this abject s***e we are 14 points clear of the bottom three.

Out of the changing room, motivated and raring to go? Nope: concede two goals with in ten minutes.

Out of the changing room for the second half, refreshed and raring to go? Nope: concede a goal within three minutes.

Conclusion: management motivation completely absent. Desperately needed: a manager!

We tried that against Leeds and he was crap. Maybe it's time he was phased out the squad as he looks like he couldn't give a toss.

An inept performance however you want to slice it. PVA is my pick as worst player of the day. Although it was tight....

Most certainly not European.

A truly awful display this afternoonm
Manager poor.
Players - not all - mostly poor
Recruitment poor.
Investment non existent.
Decisions on player contracts - fantasy land.
The Club is in a bad place from top to bottom and they have one hell of a mess to sort out.
We will likely stay up this season but without huge changes we will be in League One in no time at all - we are on the edge of the precipice - let's hope we don't go over that edge.

Yes but it doesn’t work playing people out of position. Totally Roy’s fault today, sticking with a 4-4-2 and playing Eze and Ayew out wide, this exposes the middle 2 who are too slow, which makes the defence vulnerable, who are too slow themselves with 2 strikers on who aren’t scoring. Shambles!!!

I saw a post on BBC Sport's coverage before the game about how no Burnley player is wearing gloves, and virtually every Palace player is. It's amazing how something as simple as that so clearly demonstrates the difference between the teams.

I've run out of reasons for Hodgson to be in charge next week. The attitude of the entire team stinks, and it can't be changed with the current regime in place - the change required is so drastic it has to be done by someone new.

I, further, am looking forward to many of those out of contract players being shown the door to help with the change in attitude.

Back when we first entered the league, we were crap and our football was awful, but we usually seemed to be in the game. In our last 12 games, we've not even been competitive in 7 of them (Wolves FA Cup, Liverpool, Villa, West Ham, Leeds, Burnley, City). That's inexcusable.

Hodgson has to go tonight.

This is how I feel. 29 points is a mirage for how dire we have looked in so many games this season. This season is by far the worst we have ever looked under Roy.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle
