They were excellent with what they have, but that’s the point isn’t it. I wouldn’t have all their players over ours but they have a manager that gets a tune out of his players. Ours used to. He doesn’t anymore. wont be long before we have worst defensive record in league to go with last years worst attacking record. It really isn’t a difficult decision for a board to make now. The bigger risk is holding on

I would take their whole starting 11 at this stage to be honest.

Anyone good on stats?
Is it 16 games we have lost when Zaha is out?

Whilst we miss Zaha does anyone think that he would have stopped the first 2 goals today?

s***ting in a neighbours letterbox is not for everyone. I'm just outlining your options.

Yep, he could pay someone else to do it for him.

Zaha would have kept them busy with trying to foul him.

The only one thing I will say is that at the beginning of the season Burnley couldn't buy a win until Mee and Tarkowski were reunited for their game against us. Once they had their solid base their confidence seemed to return and they climbed the table. We have had to change the back four nearly every game and I think that has taken its toll. When Tomkins returned we instantly looked so much better (Man City aside). I don't think any of our other centre-backs are still PL quality.

This doesn't excuse what was the most embarrassing home defeat since Sunderland. I don't think a single player can hold their head up tonight and say they played well. Even Eze was guilty of conceding possession too easily.

The performance was down to Roy and the so called senior pros at the club.

Sp need to grow some balls sack Roy and have Shaun Derry step in until the end of the season. At least we know Shaun gives a f about the club

Cahill was Player of the Season last year imo and in many others. He has at least 3-4 more years in him.

Are you saying you watched our last home game against them with him at his house and you left a calling card? lol

I'd swap Burnley's back 5 for ours in a hearbeat.

And they would swap their entire offensive for Zaha, Eze, Mateta, Ayew and Batshuayi. I prefer it like this.

Their back 5 isn't all that great either, the right defender Lowton didn't have another Premier League goal for like 8 years, it just happened to have a good day. I think Clyne edges him at individual quality. And I don't like their left back Pieters at all, he was slow back when he was at Stoke and that was years ago.

Yes, their 2 central defenders are better and arguably the goalkeeper too. So that's 3. I wouldn't trade anything for that squad. They have no players for the future. Only NcNeil who is so-so for attack.

And of course their central defenders are better than playing with Kouyate and Dann there, but if Tomkins and Cahill were fit...

The team we played without Wilf was no better than a championship team. Wilf stops us being relegated as he is a top class premier player. Most of the other players belong in the championship and this is a sad reflection on RH and SP management abilities.
