Call me old-fashioned, but I don't like to see our skipper wearing gloves. Somehow, it doesn't seem very warrior-like.
It is presently very cold, so I expect players to be in gloves , however, he does have a tendency to wear gloves on a regular basis.

Agree. No gloves. No long sleeved shirts. No beach balls. No pink or bright yellow boots. Players earning more in a day than I earned in a year. The game needs to return to it's roots. No substitutes. A bloke with a bucket and a cold sponge. Muddy, quagmire pitches. Heavy, leather balls. Brown, ankle high boots. Players being paid a fiver a week - and grateful for it. Just don't know what the world's coming to! ..yep, I was happier back then and I had nothin, I used to live in this tiny old house, with great big holes in the roof lol

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
