Think it's about time we had some major surgery in defence. Kelly I think should be in central defence. I think he got robbed by James Vardy in a game and not had a look in since? Play Kouyate in midfield as we are so short in that area, and he isn't a defender Edited by Vincehair (14 Feb 2021 7.45pm)

I'd like to see Kelly at CB alongside Cahill for the time being whilst Tomkins is out and Dann is in poor form. Our defence as been leaking so I'd support a shake up. Kelly has never really disappointed at CB

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Only way we have a chance of staying up in my opinion until the injured return. Even then it has to be a midfield 5 or we are doomed.

Wholeheartedly agree. Partly solves 2 problems getting a bigger man into central midfield. Give the youngsters a chance. Believe Kelly only around 29/30 !

Kouyate is so poor in possession that he can only play in a midfield 3 and that midfield 3 shouldn't include either Luka or McArthur. That means we could play him with Riedewald and McCarthy, or Riedewald and Eze. Perhaps he'd be best as a sub coming on for Luka. Playing a defender at centre back would seem to be a more sensible idea than a DM.

I honestly believe in true prima Donna footballer fashion that Kouyate doesn't want to play in central defence. Something he has demonstrated with his performances. He's also not that good in midfield. I agree with try Kelly, at least he can probably still run. Something that half the rest of the team seem to struggle with.

Agree, he is solid and deserves a chance. While we're at it, can we stop trying to convert Eze into a winger and play him centrally which is where he actually excels?
