I hope we get someone in sharpish rather than wait until the eve of the new season. If it is Eddie Howe then at least give him a chance to get a structure and playing personnel in place.

Looks like Roy could be back at WBA, so they would be a good bet to come straight back up again.

My absolute last choice is Eddie Howe, seems like a guy who will let his personal problems affect his job.. would rather anyone we are linked with than him.

Bournemouth form guide for their relegation season.

From November their form was awful but even before that it was patchy.

This is why I don't want Howe he seemed incapable of turning around their bad run and looked like a rabbit in the headlights in the post match interviews.

He had time and the January transfer window I don't know why it went wrong but not a good sign.

One more point

Lots of people wondering why there’s been no movement on the management front.

1st June is a key date in the footballing calendar as this is the point whereby contracts expire, including Hodgson’s. It’s also been the bank holiday weekend, play offs and any managers currently out of work who may be looking for a job will have no doubt taken a break.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t an announcement next week once that date has passed.

It’s all ifs and buts until then and I’m loving all the guessing and theories but that’s all it is. No one has any idea what route Parish is going to take us on! For me, Lampard, with a carefully selected coaching team might win the race.

I"m liking Lampard, unless we can get a world class proven manager, which is obviously doubtful. Lampard might still have some of Chelskis gold dust stuck to him, maybe get us to a cup final, maybe win it! On the minus side, I did read this week he had turned us down, but who knows?

1st of June is NOT, the key date for expiring contracts, it is 30th June.

Palace surely need to appoint a new Manager within the next week or so given the number of team players awaiting decision as to their future coupled with new squad members to bring in.

Anybody know if the likes of Lampard or Nuno are in the frame at present? Premiership expertise is surely pre-requisite.

Suggest go to 'Meet Our New Manager' thread Sportyteacher.

There you will find all manner of exciting speculation, ideas, hopes, wishes, beliefs and counter beliefs about who might be in the frame.

Fact is, nobody knows yet. We are all agog and for some, it's agony.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Yes but Ancelotti has just left Everton for Real Madrid, so Nuno might have his head turned in that direction.

Any way this thread is basically redundant given all the chatter on 'meet our next manager' thrrad

Mrs santo refused to relocate to Wolverhampton when her hubby was their boss, but she might want to relocate to London should Nuno get the job with us.

Not Howe - he failed with a decent squad at Bournemouth.
