Just the point I was making in my email to club glad to see others feel the same way:

The group hung a banner outside the training ground that read: "Palace pandemic of apathy. Change this mentality. Restore the pride, ambition and vision."

The banner was accompanied by an open letter, published on Twitter, that criticised the club's "safety first" approach to games.

The statement read: "Losing games without a fight, flair players shackled in negative formations, a lack of leadership and pride on the pitch. This is not the Palace way.

"Our 'safety first' approach is being exposed and our spineless defensive tactics show no ambition or vision. Unused spaces on the subs bench instead of adding youth players to the first team bubble highlights the lack of inspiration.

"'Consolidating' just above the relegation zone with no plan for progress is not sustainable and breeds a negative atmosphere. This and the continued for cup competitions shows a lack of respect towards supporters.

"We must re-evaluate our long-term vision and use this opportunity with so many expiring contracts to make substantial changes across the club to rebuild with the spirit and mentality of the promotion squad."

"Committed winners fighting for the shirt, attacking football and youth put front and centre - at the very least given a genuine chance. A transfer policy based around young, Championship players and others desperate to make an impact, not overpaid 'marquee signings'."

"Restore the positive values and together we will push forward. Anyone not aligned with these should not be involved.

"The committed supporters deserve better. The club is sitting on huge potential but apathy is limiting ambition.

"Brighton next Monday will expose those who care and those who don't."

I do wonder, would the players notice or process all of that when arriving at the training ground? Would any of them agree with the points (I'd hope so regarding style of play). I disagree with the transfer policy points - purely Championship signings make a Championship team -it's not as simple as they make out, but we've clearly lumped a lot on under-performers.

We are not in the Premiership.

A clumsy but well-intentioned act by this self-appointed group but weren't they the same who demonstrated live outside the training ground one deadline day about Sky & its money ruining football ? (clue, that's why we have managed to stay in this league !!), and who Mr Parish allowed to dictate stadium seating arrangements ?
However, like many who have posted on here, they don't speak for me & in the event of relegation I am not sure how much more would be heard of them.

I disagree. They have the heart and gumption to make a stand and would certainly be fans in the Championship. I also agreed with them about Sky ruining the game. We've taken the money, fair enough, but the game would be miles better without all the money in it. Player's transfer fees, agent's fees and player's wages all being grossly inflated and completely undeserved. Does any footballer deserve 100k a week, let alone 300k a week? It's plainly unsustainable.
Whilst conversely the fans can hardly afford tickets to games, can't get to games due to corporate or tourists filling grounds or can't afford a subscription to a sports package. The game has been removed from the fans and mist teams have totally lost their identity, no matter what way they spin it.
Recently, speaking to a Man U and a Liverpool fan, both said Palace was one of the last "real" football clubs left. I think they were talking about the gritty experience in the Arthur, but I still knew what they meant.

Spot on, ASCPFC. In the days when there was some correlation between the money that came in through the turnstiles and how much players were paid, a Chairman might have to pay some attention to the views of the fans. Nowadays he has no such need, sadly. He can think what he likes- and does!

Well his response was as pathetic as expected. You cannot fool us Roy, we know when a team is phoning it in and these s***houses couldn't give a single f***. Especially our so-called captain.

Mr Hodgson called for "Perspective" citing the two victories recent victories and I appreciate his mindset on this matter.

What has shaken supporters to the core have been the recent two defeats when we were totally and utterly abject with performances which were disgraceful. As a team we were shocking as were certain individuals. These displays coupled with the possibility of Zaha being out for a while has really set the alarm bells missing.

I accept we have some injuries, but this was NO excuse for the unacceptable displays, leaving many to contemplate relegation for the first time and question the desire of the players.

I disagree and this is far too short sighted.

It was the seven back to back defeats and one draw in our final eight games last season.

It was also the shocking performances against Chelsea, The Weed & Wolves last October and the follow up performances against Burnley and Newcastle in November, the 7-0 thrashing at home to Liverpool and the 3-0 ‘no show’ against ten man Villa.

To say what has shaken supporters is simply the last two games is blinkered beyond belief.

I loved the way Roy said he hadn't seen but then went on to deny all the accusations on it
