Eh? You "don’t like the ultras" so what is your beef, exactly? Making demands that lifelong fans move seats because you’re an "uLtWa" is entitled. Demanding the club does something about a manager who has us 5 points off the top half and 10 points off the drop is pathetic. As I said, the Ultras was actually quite great to begin with. I used to sit in block B in the championship days so I know. But nowadays it’s all just childish and tragic - and they deserve every bit of stick they get for the way they carry on.

Get over yourself. Don’t be so miserable.

They are good for the club, good for our image and bring an individuality to the Premier League.

Without them Selhurst would be 20% of the atmosphere it is [was].

You’re wrong Willo, to say ‘what has shaken supporters are the last two games’ is embarrassingly naive and quite honestly bizarre, especially given what has been posted on this very forum in recent months. I’ve seen Jimmy Anderson play the short stuff with more ability and composure than your lame attempts

Ashwin on a turner?

I like the HF, they bring heart, passion and atmosphere to the ground. If they want to write a letter to the board so what? I’ve tweeted SP before - about the rather bizarre tactics being employed.
But Roy is an experienced bloke, we are closer to the top than the bottom but the issue, as I see it, is that I have detected a change over the last 10 or so games.
Teams are attacking with pace and flair, utilising pace and taking the game to their opponents. We’ve seen Liverpool falter, Fulham and Bri***on have started to pick up points playing that way and the ‘sit back, soak it up and catch em on the counter managers’ (like Roy, Big Sam) are seemingly struggling to adapt. Burnley adopted that tactic against us. I think we’re in a bit of a change or die position and I feel the HF concern. Can/will Roy change?
Many won’t agree but if we continue to play this way, with an ageing squad, against teams that come at us - without Wilf or decent fast, tricky wide players - we’ll continue to get these results and start dropping down the table.

I agree with you on this. Football tactics continually evolve and if you stand still, you go backwards. Look at the teams that really hurt us, they are the ones who press high up the pitch and play at a tempo which our players cannot compete with, nor the confidence to pass around them, which in turn means the only outlets we have is to quickly find a winger and hope they can hang onto it long enough to get the team moving forward.

No. Actually. He’s done a very good job. If it wasn’t for Roy Hodgson, we would’ve gone down a very long time ago. Last season our first choice right back was Joel Ward. Our best centre half is 35 years old and can barely run. He’s played without a serious centre forward ever since his arrival. He brought through arguably the best one on one full back in Europe now. During his first couple of seasons we played good attacking football at times too.

As for "our most expensive squad in history". What’s your point? That’s largely down to Big Sam spending big bucks on firefighter signings and he still knew the squad was nowhere near the required standard to consistently stay up - that’s why he walked.

You and many on here are spoilt. I know you don’t wanna hear it but you are. And I’m more than happy to criticise managers when it’s warranted. Pardew deserved to go, for example. But not Roy, he has done a very good job on very little resources and the guy does not deserve this hysterical and infantile nonsense.

The only time we've played good attacking football under Roy was the first loan spell we had bats and we actually played a 4 3 3 formation, not 442 just crossing our fingers that zaha does something. Wan bassaka was a forced accident, he has played without a serious centre forward as no centre forward would get any chances under the football we play, he has spent 20 million on a great young no 10 to stick him on the left and use him as a left midfielder. He starts luka every match who is useless, allardyce came in, kept us up and got a good pay off and never signed with the intention of it being a long term job and as bad as a job pardew done in his last season, on paper he still gave us our 2nd most successful season ever. Hodgson has done the bare minimum and kept us up, a good job would be a top 10 finish. He has done pretty much what has been expected but its getting worse and worse.

Im sorry but that is complete and utter bollocks. We played good attacking football in his first season with the club on multiple occasions and it was in a 442 with, at times, no recognised striker. The 4-1 win at home to Leicester was one of our best performances since we’ve been promoted. Difference was that he had a world class right back, a fit & younger Sakho in defence, Cabaye in midfield & RLC.

We only started playing 433 in the season after Cabaye & RLC left and it was anything but attacking football we were playing during that year.

A Roy Hodgson 433 is more defensive than a Roy Hodgson 442 as the wingers are expected to track back. Meaning Wilf doesn’t get as much freedom as he does in the 442 and us effectively lining up as 451 in defence.

This seems to be what Palace fans are on at the moment. Hysterically blaming formations & the manager but not really taking into account the fact that our squad is easily one of the 3 worst in the league and if it weren’t for Roy we’d be a championship side.

The atmosphere at Selhurst Park hasn’t been anything special for many years. You’re just doing the "Best fans ever in the history of the world" BS routine. You get over yourself and perhaps question where you really expect Roy to have the club at this stage.

The astmosphere at Selhurst was at best ordinary in the season of the HF boycott. Their return DID see an uplift in atmosphere though I must agree, it has been waning.

But then again there hasnt been much to be excited about.

We are a passionate bunch and I like to think these emotions were transferred onto the pitch and lifted the players. With handful of exceptions, the last two defeats just showed how passionless our team is right now.

The HF banner was all about passion. To read between the lines it posed the question 'We care, deeply, passionately. Do you?'

I'm hoping it has the desired effect.

I doubt it. All I see are overpaid players in their comfort zones riding out their contracts aboard the Palace gravy train.

There is sense in this. I've said it before but although the board are well within their rights to sack Roy if he continues to lose games 2-0, 3-0, the way we are currently playing is BECAUSE of the players we have. More importantly the age of said players, especially the defence.

We cannot play a higher line because we have geriatric defenders who can't run fast. This means the whole team suffers as everyone has to sit back more, track back more to cover the weakness.

Unless we get a couple of younger, faster defenders in it won't matter what manager we have, or how many youthful attacking players we buy. Although it could mean we draw more games 2-2, 3-3. At least it would be entertaining.

Anyone who thinks a team playing a pensioner/Dann at the back with a midfielder can afford to play free flowing positive football doesn't understand how football works.

If anything it's the boards fault for not investing in the defence more – buy all the strikers you like. Won't make any difference.

Burnley had an average age of 1 year younger than us and made us look stupid because of Hodgsons tactics and team selection, players don't look interested, milo shouldn't be starting, ayew isn't a winger, no matter what striker we start, the service they get is non existent, Townsend is a one trick pony. He sets us up to play a deep and compact back 4 and midfield 4 and we still leak goals left right and centre.
