I can't recall ever seeing them playing with any added enthusiasm which would suggest this and without the crowds I am not really expectant of this. I get the impression the fans are expecting a different performance based on the opposition and am not too sure this affects the players as they would wish. With regards to the 'Ultras', I didn't care too much to dissect what they have said, I am just hoping that the fact they said something might have some affect. As far as I am concerned they could have printed a 30ft long banner with boooooo! written across it. I dunno, I think maybe Zaha cares a bit about playing Brighton. More than I do anyway. I don't think it's because he gets the fans, or will attach any weight to this statement though. It's just because he's a very emotional guy, and he lets stuff get under his skin. Didn't Poyet once say he wouldn't swap Zaha for Will Buckley when we were both in the championship? I seem to remember Zaha getting upset about that, then of course their fans give him grief, he reacts, and the cycle begins. He probably feels strongly about Watford too. A big banner saying booooooo! would make a far better point than the actual one. It's quite a good idea actually.

So just for absolute clarity, I was trying to infer the omission of Zaha in saying ‘most’. Maybe the likes of McArthur and Dann might appreciate it a bit more too given their longevity with the club
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

The thought had crossed my mind I must admit.

I am not making fun of his poor performances, his face and general demeanour coming on to a pitch remind me of that infamous BBC clip where they interviewed that guy who they thought was a foreign politician or something but who had actually turned up for an interview for a cleaning job at the office location.

Ha! That's exactly what he's like. He's surely worth his own banner at the training ground.

Is there anything in there about them forcing the removal of several long term season ticket holders from their seats behind the goal ?

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

If fans were allowed in Selhurst Park this season, I expect we might have 3-6 more points than we do. For all the moaning on this site, we're the best supporters in the Premiership.

In the last few years our home performances have been particularly poor so perhaps the self styled best supporters in the Premiership are actually putting the players off
