Something does have to change. Fortunately this year I haven’t had to pay for my three season tickets. My two boys have lost interest. They aren’t glued to the football even though there isn’t much else to do during lockdown. My youngest has suggested if I force him to go next season it could be classed as child abuse!
As a father for me it is more of a social occasion going to the game. Go with my lads, meet a couple of mates. Have a couple of pints to numb the pain. I will probably renew next season out of habit but I sure do have some reservations.
Something has to change to avoid losing the next generation.

We are on record many points at this stage of the season, but I can't see us manage more than 40 points this campaign.
Fair enough, we have (vital) players injured, but you do expect highly paid PL players to be able to pass the ball to a teammate. In our last three games against three teams all below us, we have hardly had a shot on target (yeah, Brighton not forgotten).
With the big guns now coming up, I fear the worst. One change yesterday - McCarthy on for Eze. Hardly an inspiring one from our manager.

I completely agree. I taped the game because I had to take the memsahib out but didn't bother watching it once I saw the score. The sooner the old git retires the better.

Insightful and well thought out post but even more impressed you still have a functioning VHS or Betamax.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Watching the Fulham game today I can see why we were over cautious last week. Fulham could be 3 up at half time against Liverpool, they are deadly on the break and haven’t lost an away game since December. With a team decimated by injuries I actually do not blame Roy, it’s more the board, we desperately need some investment, we would never have had the legs to keep tracking back if we went all out attack.
