Disagree! They will not thrash sides that defend correctly against them. And if we had defended as we did against Man Utd we may have lost but not so heavily? Set up last night was wrong, but perhaps a lot of that was down to those last 3 results and tiredness/knackered small and ageing squad?

Now Bale has hit firm and Kane is injury free, providing Jose allows them to, they will hurt many more teams

We were back in the game at 1-1 and should have continued with that formation.

Clinton 'that's not a good substitution'.

Unlike Roy as well he would normally continue for 15 minutes.

It was all over pretty quickly after Zaha appeared to find his way, that is not what a PL match should be about.

Still onward ever upward against the Hindsight

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, there were lots on here demanding us to play more on the front foot.Poor old Roy can’t win.

It had a feel of that 0-7 didn't it lol, wrong game for Riedewald he shouldn't be involved in these he appears too laid back and missing urgency in his play, very good technically with lots of ability but we needed him to be more alert.

Your right Tickled Pink, if you watch the Dutch and French leagues it’s like walking football.

Last night Lucas Moura was at him from the start and kept nicking the ball off him....

What on earth were we doing trying to play out when we were being pressed by Tottenham leading up to the all-important opening goal ?
Kouyate out of position as part of the players trying to play the ball out, ball crossed and Bale totally unmarked at the back post.
A truly awful goal to concede.

Luka getting caught in possession for their first goal was poor. Then we got a good equaliser at the end of the half - 1-1 and not looking bad. Wilf comes on - excellent.

Bale's second was poor defensive work all round, but at 2 - 1 we are still in the game. Then a Kane wonder strike to make it 3-1. Roy Keane saying only a few players in the world could do that.

We start pushing forward a bit more, Wilf hits the post and at 3-2 they get nervous.

The 4th on 75 odd minutes kills the game but the scoreline doesn't tell the story.

Unfortunately our defensive frailties were in evidence again. Milivojevic was out muscled by Lucas Moura for the first goal although I not sure where Van Aanholt was who should have been marking Bale. Their second goal was from a cross by an unchallenged Reguilon out on their left but there was no sign of Townsend to close him down. The fourth goal beggars belief when both Bale and Kane got behind our central defenders.

Yep, unfortunately Jairo seems to be an easy target for some

We lost the game 4-1 and I was NOT best pleased at all.
This is a comprehensive defeat and I have been expressing my displeasure this morning much to the chagrin of my dear wife.
