When he was Wales manager, and asked which team he wanted to win the semi-final I think it was absolutely the right choice to show complete commitment to the Welsh team, even if I was disappointed at the time. It's almost refreshing how he didn't sit on the fence. Can't imagine Roy doing the same, he'll never answer a difficult question directly.

Been written off by many after his time at toxic Sunderland. It does go to show just how we end up with the same poor managers on the merry go round. There's only two of the merry go round mangers left in the league, Hodgson and Bruce. They are definitely two of the worst 4 in the league.

100% I’m over it, I wouldn’t be disappointed if he came to us. He might be quite a good fit, ex player and internationally Wales are probably similar to palace as in punch above their weight.

Genuinely one of our best performances of the season and we lost 4-1 Spurs just had too much quality in attack at the end of the day.

Finally some tempo to our game and a desire to attack the opposition that has been lacking for many weeks. Very surprised at the HT sub considering we had just scored. In hindsight it was the wrong move but can’t be too harsh on Roy making a sub earlier than the usual 85th min.

Yet again Luka was the weak link. Caught out for the 1st goal, poor quality set pieces and just looked too slow.

Think the intensity of our defensive work in the last 3 results caught up with us tonight. Yes we were outclassed but a lot of that was down to us being knackered from those last three matches and not having a squad we can rotate like a team as Spurs can. Ayew and Reidewald looked knackered from the first minute but how do you take them of when others around them are also tired? Hopefully Schlup and Zaha will be better for some game time time for West Brom? Big game after the Fulham result today and other clubs not far behind us. Tonight was just a bad day at the office, well the second half was?

We at least appeared a threat going forward.

I was surprised how sharp Zaha looked. I also thought Benteke had a good game for the little service he received.

I think he's class above the rest of ours technically...but we'd need 70% possession to see the best of him. Square peg unfortunately. Also think Schlupp's a better option there.

there was a moment when Jairo quickly chested down a high ball on the right wing and immediately laid it off with a volley into where he wanted the receiver to go but the receiver didn't read it, he might flourish in a tika taka team, I don't know about him being that much better technically but his anticipation is probably better, or for Fulham or Brighton.

I was very happy with the overall performance like most, the old cliche about positive signs from a big defeat do apply here, nothing like the other big scores against us. Ayew is a bloody good player but he could have put us through twice second half if he'd passed right instead of dribbling left.

Spurs simply too good. Thought our lads were leggy but then they all played on Wednesday, so shouldn't be surprised. At least we tried to attack more in the second half and Hodgson brought subs on early in the case of Wilf and Jeff. We desperately need McArthur back or Tomkins so that Kouyate can go back into midfield.

Just have to dust ourselves down and go again on Saturday against the Baggies.

We all know Luka has no pace but the big issue with him is when he played with Jairo, it just doesn’t work as we then have 2 players who can’t get around the pitch,

A rash substitution, unlike RH, of Eze, unless he has a knock.

Didn't look right on the restart and we got caught quite quickly.

My issue is, I feel like we've lost that scrappy underdog nature that we've always had. I would normally feel at 3-1 down that still have a chance but this season that's just gone

They were far too far appart. But what would another player do in the same situation?

Sometimes it's an individual error. Other times circumstances end up in a player being hung out to dry and the fans crucify him.

Spurs had almost caught us out a few times with a high press as we tried to play it out. Was bound to happen sooner or later.

Maybe so, but I still don't feel the same fight we normally have this season
