I expect they will go for it - they have to. We will sit deep and try to hit them on the break but sadly I fear they will out run and out fight us in midfield.

0-2 West Brom. Both from dead ball crosses. This is one of those games where a draw Is a good result - purely because it will ensure the WBA relegation fight gathers no momentum.

I think it is very safe to say that WBA will not be gathering any momentum in their struggle against the drop. They are as good as good as relegated. They have won 3 games all season and now need to win 7 if not more from their last 10 to have any hope.

Most games are close in this division regardless of who plays who but let’s not get carried away with WBA.

this is going to be one for the purists. May get the odd burst of excitement if WBA aim to hit us on the counter attack. I wouldn't expect us to attack them with too much intent.

"Well Roy, another 0-0, another point to the magical 40 points required."
"Yes Gary, a hard fought draw, we had to be at our very best against an organised and dangerous opponent managed by someone with international experience."
"But Roy, neither team crossed the halfway line for the entire game."
"As I said Gary, a hard fought and deserved draw. I did intend to bring on Mateta in injury time, but the referee thought it wise to blow dead on 90 minutes, thus depriving us of the opportunity to nick a winner.
Did I ever tell you the story about the astronaut and the monkey?"

I suspect WBA will try and do a Burnley to catch us cold early doors and then if they succeed in scoring will then sit back and defend for their lives. Big Sam will want to put one over on us.

Will they and he succeed with their cunning plan, Baldrick?

I don't think so. I'm going for a narrow 1-0 to us, although we might sneak a second goal late on as the Baggies try desperately to turn things around.

Had a weird dream last night. It was so real. We played really poorly against the Baggies who were peppering our goal from all angles. Suddenly one of our players broke away - all he had to do was push the ball toward a teammate who would have scored. Instead he belted it out of play (I was stood on the touch line, the only spectator, and shouted 'rubbish' at him - I did actually say 'rubbish - I didn't swear, although I was tempted to). The Baggies missed an absolute sitter with the last kick of the game and the next thing was the interviewer saying to Roy 'that's 35 points, Roy, another hard earned 0-0).

I'm wondering whether I ought to change my earlier prediction.

I'm invariably wrong so some comfort can be taken with a 0-1 prediction. Roy gets hammered for going for another 0-0.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

We have to win as that will give us 37 points and in the recent passed that has been the average number of points needed to stay up. If BFS does put one over on us and Fulham win then we are only 5 points off 18 place and with the joint third worst goal difference then relegation will become a real concern!

Surely we are due a decent performance and a convincing win?

3-1 to Palace

Is there one of those predictor things this season where you guess the scores for the remainder of the games and 99% of us predict a Palace drop avoidance

Don't entirely agree on that. We still don't have a big enough cushion from 18th place to be in any way relaxed, but I hope your score prediction is correct.

This game worries me. I've watched their last few games and they've been much better than the results suggest. The only thing missing has been putting the ball in the back of the net but they have created chances and looked solid at the back. I fear 0-1.

If we lose this, we would be right back in it given the tough run of fixtures coming up.

We should keep in mind that, for whatever reason, we have got nearly double West Brom's points tally. That must say something, surely?
