Granted but surprise surprise virtually (as a rough guess) 99% of people on this board think she is lying.

Yet the BBC and this board aren't realistically comparable on reach.

The BBC is meant to be impartial, yet it rigs its narratives.

Note how the polls are perpetuating and driving the divide. They want it to cause division - young vs. old, white vs. black, conservative vs. socialist, royalist vs. republican. They present it merely as "information". It isn't.

These polls are designed to drive a wedge through society, rather than heal it. Anything to perpetuate the culture war, to keep us at each other's throats. By splitting the camps, you take a side and "wage war" against the other team.

FWIW, I think Meghan is a narcissitic succubus, and I think Piers is a brash opinionated bore. Andrew Neil would never allow him airtime on GB News, because it would utterly undermine the nascent station. That said, if he's essentially been muzzled by ITV for not "towing the line", he was right to leave.... and that's why I see a glimmer of hope in new platforms like GB News.

Everyone will have an opinion on this. Having been happy to lay bare the accusations, she should have at least had the bottle to name names. You cannot accuse people of such serious charges without stumping up any evidence. Surely you agree with this. The context any claimed comments were used is another debate.
With regard to the mental health issue, again, who did she speak to? Harry was patron of several mental health charities and has, himself, received counselling, surely he had contacts to whom she could have spoken but his response was “ I didn’t speak to anyone?” Somewhat bizarre.
Do I believe her, on some things yes, on some things no. Do I feel she is using this to sell herself to even more media/film outlets, absolutely, just my opinion

Worth noting that the Telegraph has done the same: they had a video piece on "ask the 'British' public" who they sided with - of course limited to filming in London, they managed to interview about 3 (of the 6 or 7) that were certainly (by accent) not from the UK. I think only one of them (ex forces) came in heavily behind the RF.... and yet, you then look at their click-polling within the articles and it's overwhelmingly in support of the RF. They have, of course, disabled all commentary on all of their "Mrs and Mr Markle" pieces.

I guess my point is, there's a lot of narrative-rigging around, even among news sources you would expect to counter the Steeley-Grauniad's "off with their heads" pieces.

Yep agreed if they deliberately didn't get a balanced portion of the population to interview that is clearly wrong and they should be called out on it.

There are strong views on either side of this debate and people are throwing about unsubstantiated accusations all over the place and in my view if you call out one side you should also call out the other, obviously taking on board your point about the reach of this forum and BBC, but this bias is happening all over the place.

I'm not a fan of Morgan or GMB for that matter. I watch occasional glimpses and whilst I often find myself agreeing with his views, he rants a tad too much.

However, I'm sorry to see him forced off the air by the woke brigade and can't help feeling that the majority of folk out there agreed with the sentiments he was trying to express. The interview looked contrived and intentionally damaging (just a personal view).

Won't be long before Morgan is back on our screens. I imagine there are broadcasters who would welcome the publicity his controversial views attract.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

You make some fair points but all sorts of people are throwing accusations around, who are in the public eye (obviously because of the interview and we could debate whether it should have happened but it's done now) which currently they have no proof of which to my mind is equally wrong.

In my own personal opinion I think she has been treated badly by the press, on the rest of it how can I possibly judge without being privy to all the facts.

This is how it's done if you want to make your point calm and considered. Did he get sacked? I doubt it.

Yep completely agree.

Most if not all media lies regardless of political side.....they are paid to present an opinion. And we find even 'conservative' media acting as gate keepers.

Often it's a matter of finding the most honest out there....which isn't easy in of itself but can be found in independent journalists...Those that are honest about their perspective.

Even then it's most likely that we are all just seeking out reflections of our own opinions and then fooling ourselves otherwise.

True objectivity is impossible.

I've come to realise that in life you do really have to pick a side...but that doesn't mean that you don't self reflect and be fair yourself...just not to a self harming extent.

Think she's underestimated how respected our Royal family actually is. Still at least she married a queen.

Bias is natural, I don't have an issue with someone being biased.

My issue, in relation to Morgan, is how the narratives and biases are strictly controlled and hence don't actually represent any plurality of opinion.
