Antoine Semenyo

I’ve now seen quite a few rumours over a long period of time about us preparing a bid for Antoine Semenyo. Thought I’d take a look at him on YouTube, as per usual(!) and I must say, I like what I see.

He appears to be a very direct, attack-minded player who has impressive power and pace. Struck me as being similar to Michael Antonio of West Ham.

Rumoured to cost around £2 million, he could well be the type of player we go for over the next couple of years.

I suspect if we want him we will need to act quickly

I have seen Semenyo play both for Newport County and Bristol C.
A right-footed player who can hit the ball with either foot.He possesses real pace, strength, quick feet, good close control and dribbling ability.
He has his set-skills such as half and quick turns, finding spaces with one-twos akin to Eze.

His achilles heal this season has been his decision making and whilst he has shown qualities in setting up goals for others it has been felt that he needs to add goals to his game.Since the start of last season he has only scored 5 goals in 65 appearances.
This season, Bristol C have been working on him taking fewer touches.

I'm not the only one who thought of this when his name came up was I?

We need more competition on the wings and seems more plausible than spending 40m on Sarr.

Unfortunately acting quickly is not something we excel at.
