The pay rise will be a comfort

He's been backed into favourite now so I'm not the only one thinking like it. What I wonder though is whether he'll be pissed off by us making him so far down the list of candidates.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

He would have been issued with a work permit, no problem. Poster on bbs works in HO and worked on post Brexit criteria for work permits, he confirmed he qualified. Nice try though!

Bruno Lage got one issued and it was debatable if he met the criteria

Why would he bother with all that though.

No point, and football fans are either at your feet or at your throat.

In the PL, mostly the latter.

The club was doing the process, no bother to him. He put himself forward to work in the U.K. Blaming Brexit for this is hilarious

He also must have know how much was available for transfer funds.
early on.

It said 50. He thought millions until Dougie made him sign for the petty cash box key.

Glad you enjoyed my little joke! It wasn’t meant to be a serious suggestion. I stand by my assessment of the PM though!

Not sure why Sam Allardyce would join now if he walked out on us last time??

I'd still like Frank Lampard (still got my £1 bet on him) but just so sick of it I'd take Frankie Muir if you asked me.

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

A lot of people voted for him...

Walter Mitty club. Always has been, always will be. Which is probably why we love it so much. Favre was never going to happen (New manager Poll, 18th June). One of the few salient things to come out of this farce is that those who claim to 'have sources within the club' know their a*se from their elbow about as well as the rest of us mere mortals.

Favre has just explained to Swiss TV that he didn't want to take a job outside the EU.

He didn't actually say anything about the UK, the hostile environment, or brexit.

Not at all.

Trying to find positives from this situation and the only thing I can come up with is that the club is showing ambition in going for top quality managers like Nuno and Favre. Were we ever in for the likes of Cooper Ishmael Lampard etc because they are not experienced
top quality mangers. All speculation has been proved to be wrong so far . It maybe we now have to drop our sights and select a lower level candidate but we should continue to take time to get the right man. He is more key than the players there is no point in panicking and signing them up and putting a millstone around the new managers neck that would be counterproductive. So far the club has tried for the best available and I can see no reason to change that approach even if it drags on a little longer. We can all say if we had been in charge we would have sorted contracts and selected a manager months ago . The fact is we didn’t but I guess there would be very good reasons why. The right appointment for the club is paramount rather than getting anybody available quick.
I guess as Darren Ambrose said on Twitter just relax and trust the process.COYP
