CF - Benteke - Mateta - Ayew

That’s a 20 msn squad plus a couple of U21s not mentioned & we will bring in 5-6 new players.

Vieira will be announced with around 4 back room staff at least 3 with experience.

I wonder when he’ll be announced because so far this week we have allegedly been in France trying to convince Favre “with talks going well.” We are appointing PV on a 3 year deal, then a 5 year one.
Now we’ve allegedly offered contracts to some players (even though we said we’d wait until a new manager is in), he’s apparently bringing 4 staff with him and 3 with ‘experience.’ (I’d hope they all had experience _ otherwise I’ll apply).

Personally I think all of this s***e that’s being leaked is simply smoke and mirrors and, like transfers, we get frustrated as the club seemingly just drags its feet on every single decision. To me it’s deflection.

If Palace were a bird she’d find blokes just avoiding her because she’s a prick tease and never puts out but this dragging on, seemingly to the start of pre-season, is pretty poor. I sometimes reckon that Parish forgets the passion, enthusiasm and stress that the average fan feels and, whilst he likes to run it like a business, it is a business where there are tens of thousands of fans with a stake in this. To me, he should, at least, have the decency to issue a ‘don’t worry, relax, it’s all in hand’ type statement. Personally I feel f***ed off that we are greeted by silence.

So 14 fit players who have played Premier League football, one of whom publicly wants out, one who still has post-Euros holiday, 3 players who have publicly said they aren't getting a contract offered until a manager joins and makes a decision, an U23 graduate, no manager, and no new signing even vaguely rumoured.

We've got a friendly in 14 days and right now can only put out a starting 11 and one outfield sub without tapping into the 23s. How is there no panic?
