Not a particular fan of Cooper, but he achieved more at Swansea than Potter did. Potter had no Premier experience, but is now lauded as a good manager with the style Brighton play. Potter had been a manager for 7 years before he came to Swansea, during which he won trophies for Ostersund in fact he won successive promotions for them and got them into the Europa League. There is a huge difference between Championship and Premiership football. Cooper doesn’t not have the experience in my opinion at the present time to take the pressures of the Premiership. There is also a massive difference between coaching Wrexham and Liverpool youth and England U16 & U17. Cooper has never played league football his most appearances is for Bangor City 57 games. What I would like to see,Ideally would be young up and coming managers like Cooper working and taken under the wings of more experienced managers learning the trade and experiencing the pressures of league football.

Sorry but Swans have only just finished their parachute payments so had a bigger budget than a lot of the championship - much more than Barnsley for instance Lampard won't cost 5m in comp, arguably better than Cooper in just about every way. Cooper lacks the charisma to inspire players as far as I've seen. You can't just write off Lampards managerial achievements in the way you have, by forum hearsay. Bad politik
