Not a particular fan of Cooper, but he achieved more at Swansea than Potter did. Potter had no Premier experience, but is now lauded as a good manager with the style Brighton play.
Who are all these coaches equal to Cooper, that are not currently employed. I would suggest you cant name any and they are unemployed for a reason.

Potter had been a manager for 7 years before he came to Swansea, during which he won trophies for Ostersund in fact he won successive promotions for them and got them into the Europa League.

I wouldn"t mind him at the helm, if only to sprinkle some stardust and win us a cup, even the league cup!

Dyche reportedly agreed new contract with burnley, said to be backing him in transfer market, according to 90 mins-whatever that is.

Those of you who cite to the fact that Swansea fans are unhappy with Cooper should take heed that Swansea fans are not a homogenous entity, many have paid tribute to the job he's done & football fans are hysterically fickle. I mean, did anyone see the way Roy was often depicted by fans on this board?

Cooper is a highly rated young British coach who has gained a lot of admirers in the game, especially in this country. In reality, getting that Swansea team to 4th & a play-off final last season was a heck of an achievement. Especially when you consider that he hadn't only been losing his best players since the day he joined - he also no longer had the likes of Conor Gallagher & Rhian Brewster as loanees.

People also often reference the football, but up until about Christmas of last year, most Swansea fans were satisfied in that regard. As daft as it may sound, the fact that it has dropped off since then, whilst the results were maintained, may actually be a better sign than people first assume. Whether Palace fans like it or not - even if we are to progress the football - we absolutely do still need a manager who is able to grind out results when necessary. Nuno did it during difficult periods of last season with Wolves & I'd go as far as suggesting every club in the Premier League needs a manager who is able to do it, but it's particularly vital at a club like ours.

There is a huge difference between Championship and Premiership football. Cooper doesn’t not have the experience in my opinion at the present time to take the pressures of the Premiership. There is also a massive difference between coaching Wrexham and Liverpool youth and England U16 & U17.

Cooper has never played league football his most appearances is for Bangor City 57 games. What I would like to see,Ideally would be young up and coming managers like Cooper working and taken under the wings of more experienced managers learning the trade and experiencing the pressures of league football.
I am not saying that Cooper is a bad coach, what I’m saying is that Cooper need managerial experience and he need time to nurture his coaching skills and the best place would be at Swansea.
There are more experience coaches out there that can take Palace forward at the present time. Possibly Cooper being a Palace coach of the future with a few more seasons under his belt.

Of course there is a difference between the Championship & the Premier League. But Premier League experience for the sake of a Premier League experience is daft. The most important thing is the profile of the candidates and how they fit into our model as a club and it seems to me Cooper ticks quite a few boxes.

Coopers record in the Championship is very good and it was done on a budget of 0. If he had Premier League experience, he’d be out of our league anyway. He’s much more suited to the role here than someone like Lampard is, who by all accounts, was pretty poor at both Chelsea & Derby.

you only have to look at the difference in Chelsea to see what he is lacking.

'Profile of the candidate' ha ha ha. Sorry but Swans have only just finished their parachute payments so had a bigger budget than a lot of the championship - much more than Barnsley for instance

Lampard won't cost 5m in comp, arguably better than Cooper in just about every way. Cooper lacks the charisma to inspire players as far as I've seen. You can't just write off Lampards managerial achievements in the way you have, by forum hearsay. Bad politik
