I would go for Lampard above Howe, he has charisma and as somebody already said, could attract a few new players with his connections, something Howe might struggle to do. Lamps knows how to do a good cup run, and win it at the final, its a yes from me Steve, and up until 3am this morning, it was a yes yes yes from susannah!

Southgate is so far up the FA’s derrière that he will never consider coming to us which as many have already said is a massive relief. The big concern for me however is that even the media speculation has stopped. It appears no-one has a clue what is going on. One thing for sure is that we need a decent pre-season with potentially 5/6 new players needing to bed into a side, which is looking increasingly unlikely at the moment. Let’s hope something happens in the next week or so. I am genuinely concerned we will not be ready for the new season when it arrives.
