This is a fans forum, everybody has their opinions, everybody has the right to say what they think and if they wish pass on information as in Dazza’s case he posts info, be it right or wrong he is just passing on what he hears he doesn’t have to be crucified because of information that was correct at the time, situations change. People like Dazza in my opinion make forums like this. We are all on here as fans, managers and owners. Keep supplying what you hear Dazza, I enjoy and look forward to your posts. This is a fans forum, everybody has their opinions, everybody has the right to say what they think and if they wish pass on information as in Dazza’s case he posts info, be it right or wrong he is just passing on what he hears he doesn’t have to be crucified because of information that was correct at the time, situations change. People like Dazza in my opinion make forums like this. We are all on here as fans, managers and owners. Keep supplying what you hear Dazza, I enjoy and look forward to your posts.

I have been a fan for over 50 years who happens to be one of those who questions what’s going on. Does that make me less of a fan or one those who feel ‘entitled.’ I don’t believe so. I just happen to feel uncomfortable with the current situation which to me seems to have been avoidable. As many others have pointed out , it’s been known for some time that Roy was going and that we had around ten players out of contract at the end of June. There does not appear to have been any succession plan in place . Townsend said on the radio around a month ago that the players had been advised of plans to make a managerial appointment in around 2 weeks and that those out of contract would be advised of plans once the new manager was appointed who could determine which players he wanted to retain. An appointment was not made and a few days later Benteke was offered and signed a new contract without any input from a new manager. Inconsistency. What happens if the new manager doesn’t rate Benteke? What is being asked if for a third choice management and coaching team to assemble a Premier competitive team from the remnants of last season’s ageing squad together with presumably 3 or 4 new signings together with perhaps a couple of loans. A bunch of strangers in the main unfamiliar with each other’s working methods required to be ready in a matter of weeks. I don’t see how how anybody can see this as some sort of master plan with a coherent strategy.
