Plus the fancy stand which was suppose to be the future of Palace.

Lets not forget for the people that always attack the Americans is was SP that selected them knowing they had no interest in pumping money into the club for squad etc.

Now that I totally agree with

8 years In premier league and ground not changed a bit.
Thats a disgrace
although did hear some player last week name a few stadiums they love playing as old school - Selhurst was first mentioned

But by now after 8 years we should have new stands ///

all gone on 100k per week wages for non returns ... (Tekkers, Wickham, Sakho etc ... )

Nuno to Spurs is nailed on imo. The more important question for us is around will the Wolves vacancy impact on our own hunt for a new manager? Maybe Potter to Wolves? No time for us to dither on this now.

Wolves will look to Portugal again. Bruno Lage ex-Benfica Assistant is my shout

With hindsight, the architect should probably have found a way to design out the conflict with Wooderson Close and Sainsbury's (if possible).

That's architects for you though.

I have often wondered whether there must be a around, at least the car park issue

Listening to Talksport drive this afternoon, and they have had Wolves fans on after Nuno announcing he is leaving. Lampard is being mentioned as a possible successor by the fans.

He would drop us like a stone to goto Wolves, with the money they spend. In fact, maybe that is why there are rumours circulating about him pulling out from the Palace job, as he heard about Nuno leaving Wolves.

Interesting to note that Eddie Howe still hasn't committed to anything. I think he would jump at the chance of being at Palace. His family could not settle in the North, which makes Celtic, Newcastle even Wolves unlikely.

Given the players in the Wolves squad and that club's relationship with one agent in particular, I think Paulo Fonseca could wind up at Wolves.

As for us, in my head I keep trying to make a case for each of the supposed guys under consideration and I still can't see a stand out candidate.

I would love Nuno, especially his beard. He is like a big teddy bear and knows how to defend and counter-attack. I highly doubt he would swap Wolves for us though.

I don't see why Spurs would want to replace one Portuguese manager who likes to defend and play on the counter with another one? Having said that, you wonder why he quit Wolves? As someone else said, surely Wolves will go Brazilian/Portuguese, or possibly Spanish, given the make-up of their squad.

Lets face it ... what I love about palace ... and especially Steve Parish is there is always a total out of the box surprise

all these "in the know " crowd always well off the mark ....

Did we expect Roy? or FDB? or Big Sam or Pulis?

I have faith in SP and who knows whose next ?? I bet its a total surprise or Dyche.

Maybe Southgate> (well we've had the last two England Managers!!)

Just thinking ... have faith in SP ... Hes not let us down ever

Yes and yes.

1st Choice. Benitez. Excellent experience.
2nd Eddie Howe. Young and better potential. Could do really well with Palace players.
3rd Nuno Espirito - Excellant flair, hard to get but now is the time if possible that Spurs don't get him.
4th Scott Parker - Decent. I think if we don't get other 3 then Mr Parker should be considered.

Lamps should be a last option as with him it will either go really well and or we get relegated. Main problem with the Chelski legend is that media will protect him no matter even if we are about to get relegated.

Sean Dyche no thank you!

Big up the Palace!!!!

My riposte was as follows :

"With respect, I am under the opinion that the comments which you have attributed to me were made some time ago, probably back in March!"

When I witnessed the diatribe and barbs my initial reaction was the nickname of Northampton Town FC.
Anyway, these contretemps only serve to veer the thread off-course so having responded I will refrain from any further responses and will ignore any further accusations.
I will pass comment when a new manager is appointed.

Lol - you really are an old Tart, Willo.
Don’t let ‘em get to you.

A forum of opinions so I shall respond
1) Benitez won't come here, he wants another club with the chance of prizes and we can't afford him or the transfer budget he would demand. IMO no point wishing for what's not feasible and IMO Benitez is not a feasible option given what his stated desires are and our status.
2) I could live with Howe, if we had to
3) Nuno - an interesting option but he apparently wants a bit of a break (so he purportedly says). Don't see him coming here or Spurs
4) Parker - no thanks; he's still got a lot to learn IMO
5) Lampard, rather like Howe, I could live with him but he's more risky.
6) Sean Dyche - at least he'd probably keep us up and might surprise everyone with what eh could do with our resources.

We may yet end up with one of the up and coming Championship managers

Ultimately, though, I don't have a clue who'll come but it's fun to play the guessing game

Finally - NOT one of our ex-managers, please no!
