Many players have these numbers of appearances in the Prem. Doesn't make them good. Are you honestly telling me he isn't the least talented right back in the league? I challenge you to name one player who creates less than him down the right flank.
I did also say he is a great servant and I respect his defensive efforts and team play he's given us all these years. The modern footballer needs to be able to attack and defend and he simply cannot do both.

Something about the game that so far has been overlooked, is both the quality and quantity of successful passes. Yesterday was a real improvement on most previous games of the past few seasons, and whatever you may think of individual's performances, the teamwork has obviously paid dividends.

Fair enough I retract my wording I think it's just because we all want a more attacking display, and when I see Wards name on the teamsheet I immediately just think we must be wanting to attack down the left only.
