Agree with most of the comments so far.
Time to cash in on Wilf.
He's been our talisman and saviour for a long time but whatever injury he's carrying or if it's just down to attitude he isn't the same player.
If he stays another season and declines further we'll be lucky to get 25m for him.
Currently, I don't think he's good enough to get in any of the top 6 sides

The ideal team for him ( style of play) is Lyon. He speaks French but unfortunately do not pay the wages

Plays with a scowl and doesn't celebrate when others score. Asked for a transfer and therefore wants off.
Such a change from the player from even 4 seasons ago.

Good servant

I agree , if the rest of them put in as much effort as Wardy we would be alot further up the table .

Noted. But he isn’t going to sign another contract is he? He mood is getting very dark. I’m starting to dislike him a bit, and I have loved the guy.

Other managers will have also noted that too and it will put many of them off him

He's stuck with us now. Two or three years ago he was worth more to us than anyone else would ever pay because we were so dependent on him. Now he's worth a fair bit less if only because his contract is running down, but with covid hitting I'd be surprised if anyone came up with even the reduced amount we'd now accept, and he just hasn't done enough to force a big club to push the boat out.

I can see him staying next year, and whoever is manager motivating him by telling him he's in the shop window for the following summer, rather than focusing on what he can achieve at Palace.

With Wilf I see what Bolaise used to be like ... unpredictable ... you never knew until the match whether they’d be good or not

I think there's been some ridiculous comments on this thread. Wilf is undoubtedly the best player we've had in a long time and perhaps ever. Yes it's true he has looked out of sorts lately but as has been suggested, I imagine he is carrying a niggling injury, which is holding him back because we've seem some stunning performances earlier this season. So to suggest that he us past it, is nonsense. I hope Wilf stays and is inspired to perform at his best alongside Eze and others, under new management next season.

I agree, he has looked out of sorts lately but his petulance has been ongoing. I don't think he can now perform to the highest standard in the big time and I might question whether he is actually worth his wages? Having said that, I do hope he stays ... a change of management might be beneficial for him.

One thing I constantly ask myself ... is he like this for Ivory Coast too?

Wilf looks like a lost soul at the moment. Angry at the world from the get go and doesn’t seem to have any relationship with his own players. I will be delighted if he stays but at the same time if a big offer comes in it should be taken and move on,

Without him we would have been relegated this and many other seasons.
I think he is carrying a proper injury as well.
I am happy for him to stay or go - he deserves whatever he wants with our blessing!

Christ; we'd now be in the Isthmian League or lower!

Honestly , I’m embarrased by some of our fan base!

Benteke is a totally average forward with a very poor record and a ridiculous salary, the sooner he goes the better, wake up

If Benteke was on £20,000 per week I suspect most of us would say he was good value. His performance doesn't warrant his salary it doesn't mean he is rubbish just over paid.
