Southampton may still need the points to guarantee their place in the PL next year. They'll aim to win but we'll play for the goalless draw and let one or two in during the second half. 2-0 to Southampton.

Close game to call but with we are a different and much improved team when we havn’t got Riedewald and Luka playing together. I’m going for a Palace win by 1.

With both teams on the beach , i predict a snore bore. The highlight of the match is Luka breaking that toss pot Ward Prouse nose with a Glassgow kiss . 0-0

Hopefully we go out and attack again. I doubt Eze will be given as much freedom as against Sheffield Utd though. I expect to see a few changes, like possibly PvA in for Mitchell and Jairo in for Schlupp and Ayew for Andros, as Roy has the luxury of being able to juggle the team to avoid injuries and to give players game time.

Having grown up in Portsmouth I hate Southampton, so I'm hoping for a 3-0 win, but expecting a 1-1 draw.

If Fulham go down tonight it should be a pretty decent game, if not then Southampton will catch us already on the beach and probably win by a goal

Palace looked alot more threatening Saturday, true against Sheffield United, but Southampton defence not good going for a 3-2 Palace win.

Hopefully another positive game with maybe Mateta getting a full game so that we can actually assess if he can do a job for us. So far the most he's played for us has been against Leeds, Brighton and Man City where we've barely had the ball let alone attempted a forward pass (albeit during that time he did manage to score one nice goal).

News is that Ings may return tonight having made a reasonable recovery from his hamstring.

May put a different complexion on the game if he does. Big if though.

Still expecting we'll win.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Southampton have not kept a clean sheet in their last 7 PL games.

I believe Bertrand is out injured, Jack Stevens played at left-back against Liverpool but he is really a central defender.Walker-Peters likes to maraud forward from right-back so we will have to beware of his attacking prowess.
Southampton like to switch the play from one side of the pitch to the other.

We will not lose, Benteke will score a header

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It’s actually a very important game for the club. Win and we won’t be caught by any of the teams below us which could potentially improve the coffers by 8 million quid.
