My view is Henderson, PVA, Dann, Sakho, McCarthy, Townsend, Wickham and Benteke , would like to get batshuayi and him given a chance .. However I can’t see us signing 8 players to replace these ones .. New to chat so go easy haha

f***ing most of them, carrying a lot of bang average players at the end of their careers. This has led us to a severe bottle neck thats almost certainly relegation next season.

Parish's cunning plan is coming to fruition: sign a load of mercenaries to keep us up, have all their contracts expire at the same time, and bring in the kids to replace them. Probably a few seasons too early, but hey ho, think of the money saved!

How do you save money by being relegated?

Parish is hoping that under Roy's wise guidance the kids stay up.

Absolute madness having benteke in here.

I completely agree. Benteke has scored 8 goals now and his confidence is back. We should definitely keep him.z

I think Big Ben is looking for one last big move (money or club) Inter Milan was mentioned the other day as well as Turkey, maybe even China or USA.

I would keep him on £30,000 pw plus a decent bonus for each goal he scores although I doubt he would agree to that.

The fact PvA isn't playing suggests to me he is off. Sakho, Hennessey, McCarthy and Wickham I think are almost definitely going. Dann left two seasons ago but he is so slow he hasn't left the ground yet. I think Clyne will go unless Ferguson fails to recover for preseason. I don't imagine Batshuayi would even consider discussing signing given his lack of opportunities.

I think we'll probably offer deals to everyone else and it will just be a case of whether they accept them, with none of those who are out of contract really being irreplaceable, and five of them barely featuring all season anyway. I only hope Bentenke's upturn in form is not just because he's playing for a contract.

In an ideal world Ferguson is fit for the new season, Reece Hannam is good enough to step up and compete with Mitchell, someone like Gallagher can come in and replace McCarthy, two new centre-backs (possibly one on loan), a new winger with pace (plus Rak-Sakyi possibly making the step up). A bit more youth and energy and we'll be fine next season. Half the players who are out of contract have done nothing but fill the treatment room while picking up big pay cheques.

Release: Van Aanholt, Sakho, McCarthy, Cahill, Hennessey, Dann, Wickham, Ward

New contracts: Benteke, Schlupp, Townsend, Clyne, McArthur, Kelly

Sign (including loans): 1x LB, 2x CB, 1x CM, 1x WF, 1x FW

All easier said than done though.

As has been said many times Schlupp, Kelly and McArthur signed extensions last year and are all under contract next season.

Happy to Townsend and Ward and maybe Tekkers to re-sign if reduced terms.

Clyne is too injury prone and hopefully Fergie will be fit next season.

Dann is finished at this level. He proved it yet again last night, as he did the last time he played too

Oh really? Completely missed that. Glad Kelly is staying on, has never let us down and is the ultimate squad player.

Yeah Benteke would have to be reduced terms but, if so, happy for him to stay.

Ward / Clyne - One to stay and one to go. Really don't think Ward is good enough anymore but your point about Clyne's injuries are fair. Kelly is back up for that position though if we need it.
