No but he has made 5 changes to last weeks team which is unusual for him. I like the line up. Radio saying this could be his penultimate game at SP.

Probably thought he'd try something different for his penultimate home game. Wish he'd put Mateta on instead of Benteke though.

In answer to your post. Yes, it certainly looks that way!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I expect they’ll come in handy when we’re 2-0 down with 10 minutes to go - they’ll help keep the score respectable!

At there have been SOME changes from Southampton. But still no start for Mateta or Bats.

Why 2 goalkeepers?

Roy seems to listen but not hear. The protest for squad rotation have been loud and clear, so what does he do? Rotate those that don't need it and leave Benteke in place. And three goalkeepers.

It's truly bizarre.

I couldn’t believe what I saw too & never ever seen a team with 2gk on bench, he obviously has no faith in any youngsters at the club or maybe Guaita is a secret creative midfield genius

Perhaps Roy has decided to send a message. A fully fit team that can last 90 minutes will allow for many "give game time / see what they can do" substitutions. If our goal comes under sustained attack, but remains secure Roy could put on Hennessy to demonstrate strength in that position, sending a message that he considers that any of the young goalkeepers starting, or on the bench for the next two games is good enough. Could be interesting times once the under 23 play offs have taken place and those players are free to start or appear on the bench. Are the under 18s due to play any more matches?

Perhaps he will bring on big Wayne for Big Ben.

Can they take off Benteke and put Hennessey in goal with Butland they can cover each side of the pitch.
Wait a minute! Now I see it Zaha comes off and Guiata covers the middle. Aston Villa cannot get through. Brilliant.
Now off to take my tablets. Dribble, dribblw, drool, drool.
