Can I ask why do we need a third kit ? If we play Partick Thistle, Shrewsbury Town or Bradford City or any club which has yellow and either red or blue in their home kit (I forgot Galatasaray and maybe even Fenerbahce) then both our first two kits are in danger of clashing, hence our 1861 kit saves the day in such circumstances and it's better to be prepared for all situations rather than regret it nearer the event.

Can't they choose to wear it seems sometimes as an away kit if they like (even if the yellow doesn't clash)? Pretty sure I've seen the third kit worn before, just when they feel like it.

Home kit looks like the players shirts are on wonky if they are playing with their backs to the fans, really can't stand it Also the 1861 kit (light blue) has nothing to do with Crystal Palace Football Club which was founded in 1905. The team the light blue kit represents was based at the old Crystal Palace, was made up from it's Glaziers, and went bust.
