No to Coleman. Southgate however... God no. Not Southgate either. Neither of them. Southgate has less than a 30% win percentage in club football after 3 seasons at Boro. To put that into context it’s 6% worse than Peter Taylor at Palace. No way, not him. Bloody useless manager. He got Boro relegated and was sacked. That he is England Manager is an unfathomable disgrace. Southgate and.Coleman are sh1te managers in my opinion. Why would we even add them to a list. Horrific thread that should be deleted immediately before anyone else sees it. Edited by Helmet46 (19 May 2021 7.48am)

So instead we might end up with someone who will just use cpfc as a stepping stone to something else? I'm not sure lampard or j.Terry will be a move in right direction. What's wrong with that as if someone is poached from us by a bigger club it will be because he's made a good impression whilst here

If anyone watched Sunderland till I die, saw what a clueless manager he is. How anyone thought of suggesting him is ridiculous.

I may have missed it but has any announcement been made about Ray Lewington? Is he a contender to step in? Not my choice, just a genuine question

Horrific thread that should be deleted immediately before anyone else sees it. Edited by Helmet46 (19 May 2021 7.48am) Out of our previous players players who've gone on to manage UK national teams, Venables, Southgate, and Coleman have gone on to reach semi finals of major tournaments. That's objectively more successful than being eliminated in the first round after failing to win a game, or being knocked out in the 2nd round losing to a country of a population of 300,000 (tesco's have more 50% more employees). Whilst I admire some fans loyalty to our manager. I do feel other options get dismissed for minor blemishes earlier in their career, whilst the incumbents failings are willfully ignored. I'd have questions over Southgate's ability to manage on a day to day basis, but his root and branch reform of the England set up has been pioneering in English International football. Either way, he's not leaving England, to it's all theoretical.
