Mitchell getting skinned everytime by Salah he really is out of his depth!

Strange. The commentator and his sidekick on Radio 5 Extra have remarked a few times how well Mitchell has defended.

That's three games in a row where Joel Ward has lost his man at the far post and we've conceded from it. El Ghazi, Martinelli, Mane.

For all the other good work he can do, e.g. making the block for the corner, his errors at defending crosses are killing us.

Clyne should have been starting over him for weeks imo

dunno if you have watched this salah fella before...he seems to do this to pretty much every full back he plays against.

hardly a reason to slate tm.

That's very moderate of you, Willo. But I suppose there's plenty of time left for the temperature to rise.

PIty we didn’t have someone covering the far post. We always look vulnerable at corners.

We keep hitting long balls but with no Bentenke it just comes straight back. Kouyate playing like a centre-back, Jairo non-existent and McCarthy a great scrapper but that's about it. Ward is being constantly targeted and with no support from Townsend or the midfield he is looking so exposed. For the goal Mane actually pushes Ward (I think it was Ward) to create space, but it's only a small push so isn't really picked up.

On the plus side Mitchell is doing really well against Salah and it's only 1-0. Also, their defence looks very shaky if we can somehow get at them. He runs like a giraffe, but if we're going to keep going direct then we might as well switch Ayew for Mateta. If Schlupp isn't injured then I'd bring him on for one of the midfield trio because at least he carries an attacking threat.

I'd like to see the young lad Rak-Sakyi get some minutes just to give us something to look forward to for next season, espcially if the game starts to get away from us. It would be quite poetic for him to get his debut in Roy's final game.

Temperature has risen in 'Chez Willo' I can assure you much to my dear wife's chagrin.

Yep. They're sending everything through Salah & TAA and Salah clearly wants the Golden Boot. He's got a few good blocks in and only let him in behind for a shot once. One of our top performers for me.

In good news, Arsenal have scored, so we look to have at least 14th secured.
