Some funny talk in here.

He is absolute quality and pure box office.

There is more chance of us getting Lacazette and Aubamyange plus 30 mil then Smith Rowe

We will sell him if the club's valuation is met (whatever that may be) and it's early enough in the window to get replacements.

I doubt that many in here have any grip on reality. He has been a sensational player for us and we should always be so happy and grateful that we got to see him in the flesh. I for one hope that we keep him till the end of this contract and into his next one but, it will be what it will be

It is hard not to be rude but I have to say that I didn't realise how many zeds were in Zaha, certainly enough to cure chronic insomnia!

Nobody is denying the player that he has been for us but the key word is HAS. A sulking Wilf hanging around against his will, will do nothing for team spirit

Still needs to make commercial sense.

He is under contract and that means we hold the cards. We are unlikely to get what he is worth to us and therefore it remains highly likely he stays

Perhaps he also thinks he should be playing in the CL and wants a move to a big club. If he's not happy to stay at Arsenal, there's no way IMO he would even countenance a move to us.

Zaha wants out and water is wet.

Unfortunately, whilst I like Wilf and he's brought many happy moments to me over the years, I think he now needs to move on as he's becoming increasing angry in every game and I can't tell if he's angry in the moment or just outwardly displaying some bitterness that he's not at a bigger club.

The catch.....is I'm not sure anyone needs or wants him anymore and I can't see us getting more than 40-50m for him at best.

I'd be very curious to know whether or not the club have identified replacements over the course of the season past knowing full well that it's a very likely possibility that he will put in a transfer request again. And if they have done; who are they?

But well, I'm gonna go with a "no, they havn't".

I doubt anymore than £25-30m. He is probably worth more to us but not to any potential buyers. Having said that, Burnley value Chris Wood at £30m!

Spider, genuine question (I appreciate that this is a Wilf thread), how much do you value Benteke at?

A club - the type zaha wants to play for, are going to look at him and think squad player, therefor, he's worth around 30 mil.

A club that is breaking into the top 6, let's say everton, west ham, arse are going to look and wonder what will he bring... he doesn't have top six or European experience, will he have sell on value?

Has he been performing consistently to be a starter and a game changer?

Maybe worth the risk at 40.

honestly, he should have gone same season as AWB, we could have had 90 mill in bank from those two sales and a clean break to push on with.

Two years later it be us sat here now, maybe proud that he did the next step.

Honestly, if I was zaha, I would look at palace as being a vehicle to play in a European cup by winning some domestic cup.

Zaha, Eze, Benteke's form, two astute signings, that can happen.

This was once a quality forum....

We'd be very fortunate to receive anything like that and he'll be lucky to earn what he's getting now.

His hold up play can be very good, obviously given the right service, he is very good in the air. Unfortunately his conversion rate is not great. The Benteke of the last couple of months/ 3 years ago, IMO would probably be valued at around £20m The Benteke who couldn’t hit a barn door, no more than £10m. Just my opinion and am happy for people to disagree.
I have always been a fan of Chris Wood but £30m!,
