Wilfried Zaha: Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira hopes forward will be part of exciting project "All the players are smart enough to see what the club is trying to build "; Patrick Vieira succeeded Roy Hodgson as manager in the summer and has overseen not only a squad overhaul but the implementation of more possession-based football which he hopes Wilfried Zaha will remain a part of.

Looks like a bad news day but since it concerned us I have shared. Seems like a very strange reading of contract rules

If the value of these incomings exceeds what Palace paid United, then they still have to stump up. Otherwise the whole trade charter would have to be ripped up. Go out and look for real stories.‘

This means United would still get 30% not 20% as the media keep getting incorrect. If you really could just do swap deals clubs would exploit this all the time to get around clauses. Wilf needs to stop crying about his past failures making excuses up he went to Cardiff on loan and was awful their as well.

I've never understood it to be a 30% sell on clause. I thought it was 25% max which has been the reported % over the last 3 seasons of transfer windows. In any case Man United have already lost out. Palace offered to buy them out of that sell on clause and they rejected the opportunity. I dare say they will struggle to get close to what we offered them. If Wilf stays this season he will be in the last year of his contract. We will be lucky to get 20m by that time. United will get around 5m...which I would guess is lower than the amount we offered to them to remove the clause two years ago.

Looks like a non-story to me. The bookies still have Wilf as 7/1 odds - on to remain at Palace.

Having seen Wilf in all the pre-season games he most certainly isn’t crying. Did he fail at Utd or did Moyes just not fancy him? SAF rated him highly. Perhaps he didn’t want to be at Cardiff, who would? Not sure Utd do get 30%, maximum is 25% Edited by Spiderman (11 Aug 2021 4.41pm)

One sentence reads "Crystal Palace are open to doing a swap deal that would see Wilfried Zaha leave the club, reports say" Has anyone here seen any such reports as I certainly haven't
