It's all made up. One sentence reads "Crystal Palace are open to doing a swap deal that would see Wilfried Zaha leave the club, reports say"

Has anyone here seen any such reports as I certainly haven't

Agreed Moan United are not stupid even if Wilf does leave in a player swap we will still have to pay United 20%, its the value of the player not how the buying club settles the bill.

If we try and fudge his value buy downplaying his transfer fee United will just take us to court and they will win. Besides Parish seems a straight guy I don't see that happening.

I think Wilf will stay for now but if he goes one thing is certain United will get their money.

I've never understood it to be a 30% sell on clause. I thought it was 25% max which has been the reported % over the last 3 seasons of transfer windows.

In any case Man United have already lost out. Palace offered to buy them out of that sell on clause and they rejected the opportunity. I dare say they will struggle to get close to what we offered them.

If Wilf stays this season he will be in the last year of his contract. We will be lucky to get 20m by that time. United will get around 5m...which I would guess is lower than the amount we offered to them to remove the clause two years ago.

Zaha contracted to palace until June 2023. 5 year deal signed August 2018.

Having seen Wilf in all the pre-season games he most certainly isn’t crying. Did he fail at Utd or did Moyes just not fancy him? SAF rated him highly. Perhaps he didn’t want to be at Cardiff, who would? Not sure Utd do get 30%, maximum is 25%

Pre season is meaningless and you have no clue if he is moaning in the background just take a look at how many agents he has fired over the last few years that speaks volumes. (I have not even gotten into the public complaining about not getting transfer or poor performances)

Yes he did fail it has nothing to do with Moyes that is an excuse and Cardiff if he didn't want to go don't agree to be loaned also you would show off your talent to be noticed which is what loan players do.

He is not a top class player a club around Palace level is correct for him.

You and others need to stop making excuses for him.

SAF rated him highly, perhaps he should have consulted you first. It also seems a lot of top ex- professional footballers disagree with your assessment that he is not top class but hey what do they know compared to you? you have no idea if he wants to go. How do you know why he failed ( if he did ) at Utd? Did they give him a chance? Please explain why pre-season is meaningless, if so why have it?Oh of course you know everything about everything I forgot What excuses am I making? He has probably been the reason we have survived in PL for so long. Are you really a Palace fan or just a troll?

SAF was on his way out and if he rated him so highly why didn't he look after him like he did with other players its because they got him in had a proper look and saw he wasn't what they expected plus his attitude stinks.

Top rated ex players like the ones who are on match of the day enough said on that subject.

If he was so highly rated why has no one come in for him or even United who would of been getting a big discount because of that clause (hes not worth it that is why he is a player who was never worth more then 40m and that is still questionable value)

How can you say he didn't fail at United he was given a chance he was part of their pre season tour and given a few league games the same thing happened with England.

So some one looks like a super star in pre season playing weak teams and you think this means something it's meaningless it's about getting match fitness etc.

So now you claim 1 man is the reason Palace survived every season that is enough just leave you again have shown you have no fn clue what you are on about.

Guys, guys, settle down.

The answer in reality is probably somewhere in between your two stances. You could perhaps agree on that? He's been our best player over the last few seasons and his performances have contributed greatly to our stay in the prem. But equally, he's not at that top, top level of player. For example, I'm not sure he'd start in any of the top 6.

Given a chance? 1 Community shield game, 1 League Cup game, 1 league game, none of which he played 90 minutes.
Where did I say he looked like a superstar in pre-season? I said “having seen Wilf in all the pre-season games, he certainly isn’t crying” with regard to his attitude not a mention of being a superstar, If you insist on being rude and obnoxious when replying may I suggest you get your facts correct .
I have no fn clue? Okay keep the insults coming, a typical comment from you when someone has a different opinion. Even if posters do not agree with my opinions, which is fine by me, at least when reading my posts they make sense, reference your last paragraph
Maybe the use of punctuation would help

Probably true about the” normal” top 6, although I feel he would start for Arsenal and possibly Spurs. The one club I think he would suit, given their style of play is Leicester. Personally I think he will stay and extend his contract

I think the winter transfer window is crucial, if we are doing well then its the time for wilf to extend his contract or be sold/exchanged
If all gone tits up by then we will have to bite the bullet and keep him, knowing the he will probably then see his contract out, even at 30 many clubs will take him on a free.

Wilf didn't get a decent crack of the whip at ManU.

SAF brought him in as he saw a great prospect, and immediately loaned him back To us for the rest of the season (and the rest of SAFs tenure as manager)
that was the single worst thing that could have happened to Wilf.
Moyes then came in, and lets face it SAF left him with a shocking squad. He struggled from the start so didn't have the luxury of playing this new player, who was most likely seen then as a luxury player (a type that has previously flourished in a ManU shirt under SAFs Reign).
Moyes relied on the experience of the team to See him through. As the season went on this only got worse, and he didn't seem to want to risk playing anyone other than established players.

SAF fecked Wilf by Leaving before integrating him into his team.

Without zaha we would have been relegated a long time ago, take him out our squad now and it's a poor Premier league team.
