Sorry but I think we have to stop living in the past and look forward.

Bolasie was fun when he was here and his work with Zaha great as well BUT

neither is the player they were. We need to sell Zaha and move on and retain the good memories we have of them both as we build a new squad.

Big no from me. Loved Yannick while he was here and the Wilf / Bolasie / Murray front three was probably the best we'll ever see at the club.

However, he jumped at the chance to join Everton, said it was a 'no brainer' and Pardew said his heart and soul was elsewhere.

I just find it a bit rich when players do this. Bugger off when it suits them and then talk about how much they love the club when their careers are on the wane.

Well, unfortunately he's no longer our level so thanks for the memories and good luck elsewhere Yannick.

disagree. The knee injury has definitely slowed him down a little but i can see him adding value off the bench in the last 20 minutes of games. Can play on either wing too.

Looks fitter now than he has been over the last few years so a pay as you play deal would suit both parties.

This Correct me if am wrong didn't he give our fans the finger at Goodison pk?

Cant see any downsides to this transfer.

- No transfer fee
- Relatively cheap wages - £30k-40k a week
- 1 year deal
- Short term Eze replacement
- Massive morale boost to the dressing room. Especially Wilf if he doesn't get his move which is looking increasingly unlikely
- Great nostalgia signing

We have had players who haven't kicked a ball for years and getting paid far more than Yala would be asking. Now we have cleared the books this would a low risk deal. Get it done!

We are supposed to be trying to reduce the average age of the squad not increase it.

To be fair we had to recoup some money from buying Bentekkers and the club would have said Everton can speak to Yala if the price was right in the first place. £28m was a lot back then plus we had a replacement in Townsend anyway.

But yes, let's have the good memories and leave him alone and move on.

Yeah agreed... Some things are best left in the past and viewed with fond memories.
Plus it goes against the supposed ethos of reducing our ageing squad in transfer strategy... We need to be disciplined on this not emotional

Have you read some of the threads on this site? Seems certain posters CAN'T let things go & take great delight in bringing up past posts by others.

As far as 'Yala' is concerned, i totally agree with you.

doesnt even need thinking about.

would be great cover, could do damage from the bench for last half hour.

and he loves the club and openly states he wants to come back.

who else could we get, who is free, with that bag of tricks who we know actually give everything hes got?
