I will because it is true. You want to delude yourself that the overpaid, over sexed, pampered players give one toss about playing for England, that's up to you. They care more about hair dressing availability and tattooists than they do about the fans. The overhyped players won't perform. It's a hallmark of every previous tournament. Hope and then disappointment. As I already stated, and you disagreed, the last tournament had much less hype and less expectation as England had constantly flattered to deceive and failed at so many previous ones. The last World Cup was far less hyped. England went under the radar but still managed to get worse the further the tournament went. By the time the hype came, we could all feel that they'd lose.

The same 'spiel' always works for the England tournaments, I don't really need to say it. We can all see it, in front of our very eyes. Promise in the previous tournament, or qualifying, only to be pipped at the post by some pretty average sides. Pretty sure just as many share my opinion, as yours. And if you wish to suggest your opinion is somehow more valid because it is optimistic then you better get your Skinner and Baddiel record out. How long until it's rolled out?
The four teams I mentioned are all clearly better than England. There is daylight between their quality and ours. And I expect Denmark to do just as well, if not better than England. That's how great we are in this tournament.

It's like cliche bingo - I think you're only missing 'primadonnas' for a full house!

The point is; the spiel isn't accurate, but regardless of outcome, you will convince yourself it was - the fact you think it was accurate in a tournament where we semi-finalists is absolute proof it.

If you believe your comments re the other teams and Denmark, get down to a bookies becuase there's some easy money to be made.. England are priced around 5/1 and Denmark around 25/1... strange for two teams of supposed similar quality.
