I don't think that's fair on Hancock.

He worked hard, made some mistakes its unknown territory, but this response is hysterical he did his best to save lives.

And it didn’t take a Twitter storm to make him do it either.

I lost a parent to it. Been told that everyone who lost someone should feel betrayed, be angry beyond belief etc.

One of the people lecturing me on this won’t have a vaccine unless they need one to go abroad. They also refuse to wear a mask.

What’s the point in being angry. I don’t envy any politician making decisions and whilst I think Hancock is an odious little oik who should have resigned straight away it’s a double edged sword.

My neighbours at the start of the pandemic went out to clap and held a f***** bbq so the family could all join in. That’s moronic and likely to do far more damage.

Politics is far too polarised. There needs to be proportionality. What Hancock did was moronic and showed the morals of an alley cat. To do it as Health Secretary was a special kind of idiotic but then look at the vaccine program and how he, Boris and other politicians waited in line for the vaccine - that deserved praising as a true even rollout. with no fear or favour.

History will judge Hancock as a complete dick. Personally I’d rather spend my time focussing on saving lives rather than anger over death. Hancock doing what he didn’t won’t influence those who are already responsible to do anything different. Hancock just joins the other idiots who are out for themselves. How his children now feel about him will be worse than any public reaction.

He is just a bloke, like the rest of us, trying to do an incredible difficult job, but he had to do it under an intense media spotlight and, as it turns out, also has to watch out for backstabbing colleagues.

I'm not saying that he's done nothing wrong, and he's most certainly made mistakes along the way, but the overreaction to these types of stories paint a very bad picture of society today.

I honestly don't know why anyone would want to be a politician in this day and age. You never get praised for anything you do, and you're actions past and present are constantly scrutinsed for anything that can be used as a stick to beat you with, either from the media or the oafs of the opposition.
